2017-18 State of Russian Ladies skating

OK, here is the deal. I got used to (or even loved) rope jumping, pantomime and 9/11 screaming moments.
Sometimes you need to give a program few chances and open your mind to novelties, it's totally true and I get it.
I also do understand concept of the program, but this breathing part is not only disturbing the lovely music ending, but will also be completely inaudible in the audience's ovation. It's just not in keeping with figure skating choreography principles - when you build lovely momentum in the very end - END.
Anyway, I don't think I'll be able to like it in February, no matter how many times I watch it through the season.

Yeah people will be clapping and giving her all the ovations only for her to do the breathing thing.:scratch3: If it was my first time watching the program, I would think that she convulsed or was about to hurl and would be concerned. Lovely lovely program though. Definitely changed my opinion of her a lot.

at this point i can't imagine averbukh's choreography without bizzare moments. and the whole fake ending thing is quite hilarious, i must say.
as long as it annoys the haters, i'm all for keeping it. i'm also not against adding more voiceovers, they can add a donald trump's voice for more fun.

Well, Evgenia skated very well but the ending is really not necessary. I guess they added heartbeat sound at the end and she was gasping air. Less is more.

Somebody knows how Polina is feeling now?Is she ok?I hope she isn't injured again.
I posted this question on Daniil Gleykhengauz's instagram, too, and on Eteri Tutberitze's fan page on instagram, but I'm afraid nobody will answer me.It's strange that we don't know how is her health or,at least, about her new free program-music,who made the choreography....

I knew it! i knew Evgenia is capable of doing something like this. Graceful, subtle program. This is by far my most favorite program of hers. The ending, for me, ruined the elegance the whole program set. But i'd take it any day over gimmicky miming. Congrats, Zhenya! So happy I'd be seeing her skate in PyeongChang. :)

Hmm I know Mikhailova is announced for CoR but I kinda wished they had withdrawn Konstantinova from Juniors and shoved her in that CoR spot. Next year it will be only be more difficult for her to move up. Her PB from last season was not bad either, internationally 187 last year while Mikhailova got 182 domestically.

Or Alisa Fedichkina, actually. For that matter, Alisa Lozko's spins are amazing to watch and if she did not have that aborted foray into pairs, would have loved to have her in the CoR host pick spot also.
Mikhailova isn't awful per se, just that there are others who are more interesting to watch and also have achieved more at the international stage (she had two JGP's in 2015-16 season and was unable to podium in either of them)

Both Alisas have no chances. Alisa L - except spins and good stsq has bad jumps, almost each jump URed. Alisa F - has no speed, even Dunya looked faster than she was + her jumps are unstable, and also URed. As I said, Kurakova - is the only one right choice. But... Mistress Buyanova didn't allow her to participate at RC. So we will hear ABBA again.

So... Nana's mission is completed. Stanislava with bronze medal (and only 182 points) is hardly contender for the second spot. Alena's spot is safe now, I suppose.

Alena has to win gold or silver with 185+ on her first outing to get another spot.

i fear it's over for alyona:( they will send konstantinova with a desperate hope for all russian final. after all gulyakova's scores were no bigger

why Alena hasn't even skated yet, I have never bought into the Konstantinova hype, she should be competing in seniors already.
