Jason Brown

He looks great, but I think this is the show version he did at Sun Valley, not the competitive program. The first jump in the show version is a 3Z. In the competitive version, there's a 3A right before the teardrop spin that's missing here.

That makes sense. It's not a competition but a showcase, so I don't see the need to go all out if organizers weren't asking for that. Judging by the reactions, people didn't care that much about the number/revolution of jumps.

Hey @Lin_Manuel, want to come be in the room where it happens at #USChamps18? Let us know. 👍

Oh goodness, if USFS actually got Lin Manuel Miranda to U.S. Nationals, the men's SP is suddenly going to be the hottest ticket in town, LOL.

Here are some of the photos I took of Jason at Lombardia Trophy...

He was spectacular, as always! :-D

And off-ice... well, he leaves a trail of happy smiling people, everywhere he goes LOL

Thank you YesWay (and also MGStyle's friend Wilma). So many great photos of Jason, I might even feel inspired to change my avatar (with your permission. And of course, my poor Locutula would not be happy at being upstaged by a skater.)

Wow - these are just beautiful! Jason's a fantastic model, but you are also an amazing photographer. Thanks so much for sharing them!

I absolutely love that you captured the judges reacting to him!

If Lin actually arrived at US Nationals - well, maybe there's the pot of gold the USFS has been searching for!

Though if Lin actually attends US Nationals I DEMAND a singalong.

Three-minute Jason fluff piece posted by USFS:

https://twitter.com/usfigureskating/status/913418036119429123

Overall he really looks great here. Some of his jumps are huge!

I have to confess I had blocked the first Piano costume out of my mind - seeing it again, I'm so, so glad that they changed it!

One of the most interesting things in this piece was learning that Jason's back injury was serious enough that surgery was discussed and his parents tried to prepare him for the possibility of retirement. So happy he made it through!

Can I just say how much I loooved:luv17: this new fluff piece. We all know Jason is a dedicated, serious, hardworking athlete, but this really brings it home (and no tongue sticking out or godawful Snapchat effects :rolleye: )

But can I ask, what is the importance of 11:11? Why is it relevant, what does it mean? Another modern pop culture reference that has passed me by?:slink:

Thanks! I never thought of Jason as the new age spirituality type, but if it works, it works:laugh:

i think it's a cool concept. I've started meditation recently and people think of that of being new agey, but it really isn't. It's just training your mind to be aware and present at the given moment. I might have to try out doing an intention or meditation at 11:11.

I think that most elite athletes do some type of meditation as part of their mental prep. I can say personally that meditation helps me go to sleep - In fact I had to start doing it laying in bed because I didn't want to fall asleep standing against a wall.

I've definitely fallen asleep during my morning meditation, LOL.

Thank you for the article, I am just catching up.

I am unsure so does Jason have someone new repping him from this summer, or did I mix him up with someone else? But I feel like I've read he has a new agency managing him? Thanks!

Yes, Jerry Solomon, who is the long time agent (and husband) of Nancy Kerrigan is now repping him. https://mobile.twitter.com/JerrySolomon_SG?ref_src=twsrc^appleios|twcamp^safari|twgr^profile

Also I think it's cool he reps Ivan Lendl, one of my tennis faves from back in the day.

Jason posts a vlog where he speaks entirely in Japanese! I understand "Konnichiwa" and "Part One" (at least, I think that's what he said):

So our Japanese speaking friends, if you would be so kind, what is he talking about? And more importantly, how is his Japanese?
