I think we got your point first time you posted itYou don't like them or their dances, you said it with different words even more times than you mentioned how good Elena Ilinykh and her dances are. By the way, aren't you the one who liked their Queen SD, and then 'Frida' FD, and even their Bollywood 'FD'? Not blind, huh?
To be honest, I don't like their SD very much either. But this FD is probably their best FD ever. I find it extremely well build, GOE awarding, beautifully choreographed and aesthetically pleasing. Much more pleasing than, for example, last 4 Elena Ilinykh's free dances with different partners. The strange thing though is that I really liked her and Ruslan's secret garden 'Apassionata' FD, while many people disliked it for being null and void.
If I think back at the 3 FDs I/Z skated to, Appassionata was the one that was a good fit for both of them, although I did love Frida a lot. But nothing was as perfect for them as their Carmen Short Dance. Since the introduction of this format, there weren`t a lot of programs that I have enjoyed as much as I/Z`s Carmen.
Anyway, I also like B/S Free Dance, I have issues with their Short Dance, but tbh I haven`t discovered yet one Latin SD that I like 100%. Theirs is not a masterpiece, but it`s also not terrible and I think as long as they hit their elements they will be fine.
The Challenger in Minsk will also have Junior and Novice categories. Skoptsova/Aleshin and Shevchenko/Eremenko are entered, so this will be another interesting fight to follow next to the others we will see this weekend. Russia has entered 12 (!) teams in the novice category. The Fed definitely can`t complain about a lack of depth in Ice Dance. Who knows, maybe one of those baby ice dancers will be their next Olympic Champion
