I don't understand people's dislike for a fully backloaded program, I really don't. In Alina's case, it matches the music and it is thrilling to watch. Would people prefer a program that is 7/0, because that is a lot more annoying IMO. Some people even say that they should make rules to restrict this. That is restrict the skater from getting more points, which makes absolutely no sense to be. AND it's not easy, everyone would do it if it was, it is not because they care about the "artistic" composition of the program.

If GD made 0/7 layout, they would praize her stamina and courage (for taking the risk), don't you doubt )

There's no such thing as a 7/0 jump layout program, literally nobody has ever done that. I disagree about Zagitova's jumps also, the 3Lutz+3Loop and 2Axel+3Toe combos have nothing to do with the music. They are in that part of the program only to gain extra technical points. The program could most definitely be constructed better.

I was exaggerating for the purpose of getting my point across. I also think it's too much to expect from a skater to land every single jump to the music, no matter where the jumps are placed. If there are programs like that, I'd genuinely love to see them because that seems very impressive. Other than that, I guess we just have different opinions regarding the construction of the program.

Also, people here have some weird knowledge of art and blablabla.
For example, some folks scream "balance" or mandatory PCs deduction. Thing is, in art, balance is not anywhere a must that must be achieved at all cost or the artwork is bad, it is more of a tool to convey a message. Unbalanced does not mean bad.

Many people here complain that some jumps have nothing to do with the music. But! this is also true for many more "balanced" programs. In fact, most of the programs nowadays have a jump or two that have nothing to do with music, a 3 jumps combo that totally does not fit (but nobody keeps complaining nonstop that those nasty skaters do their 3 jumps combos to milk out the points, that it should be punished in PCs, and the real artistic skaters dont do 3 jumps combos on purpose to have better choreo).

Its kinda same thing with tanos - when a skater does all jumps except one or two with tano/rippon, they say that is too repetitive and lacks variety. When a skater does all jumps normally, and only 1-2 with tano/rippon, that is fine, even though the variety is the same.

Yes they are trash as commentators.

This season they want to reach a new level of mediocrity at each event, and they are on a good track so far.

Wow...I never listen to Canadian commentary*, and I can see I haven't missed anything. Dreadful.

*Ted Barton excepted, of course. He is a rockstar...but too good for commercial TV, alas.

There are parts at the beginning of the program where a jump would highlight the music, but she goes for just a spin instead.

It is Za-gee-to-va. I really wish that commentators would make an effort to pronounce names correctly. They could use Sabinfire's videos!

That spin goes really well with the music. I think 5 out of 7 jumping passes is a really good number tbh.

Some posters wrote the costume is too sexy for a 15 y.o. girl. I would say Alina is too sexy.. if she looks like a little girl no one says the costume is not fit for a 15.y.o. girl.
