Elena Radionova

+judging. Elena in China - 1 ur (not in protocol), 206. Maria in France - 2 or 3 ur (not in protocol), 208. Almost equality. Do not forget about Polina Tsurskaya!
With Polina it's hard to say, I like her elegant and expressive skating, I like her jumps too, but she has bone problems !! If he is in good shape it would be nice to see! Alina is at the age of starting the body change ... I do not know what will happen, maybe we will be surprised later, we will see how things happen!

Elena is now entered in Shanghai Trophy and will compete against Maria Sotskova next week:

I think how she does next week will be crucial. Maria has skated very well and already has a ticket to GPF so Lena will have to show why she should still be in contention. I wish her the best!! I'm happy to see her fighting for her chance to be on the Russian team, however slim it may be.

I wouldn’t worry too much about Alina’s body change. Alina’s coach is Tutberidze, so I can guarantee you that Alina’s body will not change in the next 4 months. Even if Tutberidze had to put Alina on diet of diet shakes same as she did with Lipnitskaya.

It is awful! Julia had problems with anorexia, this shows me that Eteri is only interested in winning! He would have to start being more human and think about the health of the students he has! Now Evgenia has problems with the right metatarsal, but if everyone takes care of her, surely they will, she can go to the Russian Nationals and the Olympic Games!

My sports story began at the age of three, then I was a little girl who did not sit still and as soon as the music started she started to dance. My parents brought me to the sport exclusively for health and to direct my energy in the right direction. But then I did not understand the important role played by figure skating in my life, I just liked to skate in public in a beautiful dress. Having won a gold medal in my first competitions, I wanted to win more, this was my first impetus for motivation! Now figure skating is my life, my hobby, my work, which I like very much. Yes, moments are not easy, but the desire to be #BeyondComparison, the result of my own labor and zeal, brings me great pleasure. And the harder and thorny this way, the more the degree of satisfaction. #UnderArmour #BeyondComparison #UnlikeAny #LenaRadi And I pass the baton @ritamamun @ sanchos21 @ erica3009 so that they also tell their sports story!

Lena's great performance from CoC was quite a few weeks ago but this is what she said to Tatjana Flade:
I’m happy that I was able to improve in such a short time and to show skating, which I was supposed to show, without any foolish falls. There were not much time between Grand Prix in Moscow and Beijing, but we did a lot of work. I’m glad that at this competitions I skated without big mistakes, under-rotations. Skating was confident, but I know that I can do better, much better. I need to improve with each competitions. I’m still picking up the shape, I’m moving forward with small steps. This Grand Prix turned out much better for me.

I think that not many athletes will change their jump content during the season, because there is not much time left before the Olympics. They will work more on the programs. And I’m no exception.

To this competitions we changed jumps a little, at trainings we try different variants and do run throughs of programs. We won’t do much changes. Now we’ll discuss everything with the coach and decide what to do next.

Oh Lena [emoji30] 13th after the SP? How can this be [emoji24]

Ohh Lena... :sad21: But if I'm going to be completely honest, I can't say I'm surprised. When I saw the photos of her at the draw, I thought that she looked a little out of shape compared to earlier in the season... Personally, I wonder if she kind of lost hope after the GPF results, where I feel like Maria claimed that 3rd spot for the Olympics. I wonder if Lena lost some motivation to train hard, and now this is the result...? :( Still, it has to be disappointing for her. :sad21:

Oh well, all she can hope for now is to skate a really strong free program and at least end up a bit higher in the standings! FIGHT LENA FIGHT!!! :hap10:

Really really sad for Elena.
She was meant to be the new face of russian figure skating, after winning two junior Championship in a row, everybody expects to see her on top of the world, and now she's even behind some junior skaters.
They used to call her the fighter, but in her face there's no will to fight anymore, only a fake smile she do hinding her frustration.

That's a bad result, especially with so many young skaters coming up. And she has not fulfilled her potential. TAT said Lena can do 4sal in practice.

I think she switched coaches too late. She should have done it a year earlier. She has been struggling with adjusting to puberty, but her landings on junps this season are much better than the last two seasons, so the change of coaches did help. She just didn’t have enough time to get the consistency and self-confidence back. Her skating was not a disaster - she just popped two jumps, which happens to skaters like Wagner or Osmond too. It was just unfortunate that this happened at Russian nationals where the level of skating is comparable to (or higher than) world championships. If the other competitors are clean, those mistakes can be very costly.

I want Elena to come to Poland and switch citizenship. She will have no pressure at all, mental comfort and guaranteed every possible Olympics. And it's not far away from Moscow. She can even change her name to Helena Radionowska... :)

I love this! She's also more than welcome to come and skate for GB!
