Hadn't Yulia once said that she really wanted to switch to Ice Dance, but everyone opposed her? It must still be a raw subject for her

Oh! We were at that competition...! And it was the first time we'd ever seen Julia... the only thing we knew about her, was that she was Junior World Champion.

Our reactions were similar! Although being grown-ups, our outward appearance was a little bit more controlled ^_^;
 
Happy New Year everyone! Still depressed about Yulia's retirement. :scowl: I thought I was pretty much done as a skating fan forever, but somehow, I'm here again LOL. I happened to see the GPF on TV awhile back, just randomly flipping through channels. Got me thinking about skating again. Then I tried to catch up on stuff I missed and yikes. Seems like a lot happened. The Russian ban drama, Evgenia's injury, Anna Pogorilaya out of action (devastated), Marin won't be at the Olympics (wow). I really missed editing videos too. Last one I did was about a year ago, so today I decided to do a Star Wars Yulia fan video. Hope you guys like it. I really love Yulia + John Williams...so much untapped potential there. Anyway, I hope to see Yulia back on the ice again someday, but most of all, I hope her health issues are finally resolved.

I’m really missing our girl!! Will she be covering Euros? I still haven’t found any of her broadcast from Russian Nationals :cry:
