I really liked Kostyuk!Is she coached by Panova?
Yep, one of three upcoming Panova's stars (and the only one of them who has musicality). But she is not consistent, I hope she finally will skate her free program clean.

She's an interesting skater for sure. I'm very curious about how she's going to perform for her FS, also. Though, wouldn't want her to perform too well...
I feel like her artistry is of a slightly different kind than usual.
She reminds me of medvedieva very lovely and talented. Most of these young Russians skaters are superb talents.

I am afraid this lead is pretty negligible since there are literally just couple of points of difference. Price of one error is higher, actually. She should be clean tomorrow to win since judges there aren't capable of appreciating high art, it seems - therefore it would be naive to hope that she would get correct pcs scores for her skate.
63 is a decent score and she's more promising than many ladies who qualified for Jr. Nats. Her PCS is quite appropriate as (1) this is Moscow (2) her SS/TR really isn't as impressive as her musicality. She also seemed to have a long way to recovery as she lacks momentum.
It isn't a bad skate really, and I hope she gets to do JrNats. However, this is not a skate that would get her into the last warm up group for FS in JrNats.

Yeah, she really does. Did you see previous video with Kanysheva and Kostyuk's dance? Look at the background where they are. I doubt they're boxing there.

He's a really good up and coming player. I thought some of you might appreciate how his name is a combination of Daniil and Medvedev(a)'s. I wonder if he likes figure skating.

EC is going to be in Megasport. So all of the groups who train there are thrown away.

I saw how he beat Wawrinka and others top 10 tennis players, but he has really problems with his psychology. In addition to his behavior, he's one of those tennis players who can lead 6-4 6-4, 5-2 and then lose the game.
I don't know for sure, but, if I understood correctly Betina Popova said on Instagram that this isn't the reason and that this also happened in the past.
And anyway if it were so, this isn't normal..
Does Panova also train boys? i don't know any...
But her girls are really good, in general they have good technique and skating skills.

That's all people need know about FS in Russia before start speculations like "Russian system vs US system" and so on.
P.S. while commenting last RusNat TAT said that the only dance pare from Saint Petersburg (Anastasia SAFRONOVA / Ilia ZIMIN) has 1 h of ice per day and can't even buy more time for their own money - everything is busy :disapp:
As what I've noticed, Russia's system is mutated system of socialism and capitalism. In the US you have to pay for the trainings, there are no government support. Same about ice time. And Russian's case is about this: if you provide socialism in sport, please make sure it's for everybody, without any exceptions. But when an exception appears - it hurts.
So, if we changed topic to socialism, one of my favorite soviet movies is 17 Moments of Spring. Really amazing, and moreover, very touching soundtrack. Here's Maria Butyrskaya's program with this music. I'd like to see Anna's skating with that music in the future.

It's an on-going discussion here. Figure skating is expensive sport everywhere Russia included. I just talked with my friend yesterday whose daughter grew up to kms before quitting. He said that FS was one of the biggest cost items for the family. They had to buy skates, dresses, pay for extra time, etc. When comparing Russia and US it's not about the total costs - it's about the share of family's disposable income. The price of skates would be the same in Russia and America. But incomes here on average are 5 times smaller.
