I'm sorry for asking that, but do we want her in junior nats, knowing she has no chance for medal though?
I mean, I want to see her again in ten days, absolutely... but are we sure, if the potential weak outcome doesn't affect her in a bad way?

:hopelessness:
Well... You're not wrong, in a sense. She really has no chance to medal judging by these performances and even if she skates clean, she might just barely place in top 10.
But see, I think that if she got to perform to a relatively large audience like what would be at Jr. Nationals that would on the other hand be a very good thing for her, no matter the scores. In addition, she can't just come completely out of nowhere and expect to gain good scores. I still think she needs to have some competitions under her belt and at least a bit of recognition. It'd be tough to just try to only start competing at a top level next season - And it's not even a guarantee that she would get JGP spots if she doesn't perform anywhere this season. A standing ovation for example could go a long way towards that, and those tend to even increase PCS. I also think that it would help increase her fanbase.
Another thing to consider is this: She clearly isn't close to 100%, so why is she skating here already? She started skating much sooner than I believe any of us would have expected. What's the purpose behind doing so? To me, the reason is clearly so that she could make a case for skating at Jr. Nationals. I just don't see any other reason. Unless you believe in coincidences...
Of course, if she has a really poor showing, that might affect her negatively. But she'll always have the injury "excuse" to fall back on, so it shouldn't be such a big deal. On the other hand, if she has a good showing, it could drastically improve her status and essentially guarantee JGP spots for next season, also. Especially because people might recognize that she still hasn't fully recovered. I just think there'd be a lot more to gain than to lose. It's a very high profile competition for Russian junior skaters, after all.
And of course, I also want to see her skate again soon. So that's the selfish part...
