Yuna Kim

this time i present to you Yuna: The Speed Skater:laugh: this might be my favourite yet, that smirk at 19s :luv17: and her fall at beginning  ahhh i love her

Thank you matmuh for sharing! I’ve watched it twice already and can’t stop smiling. when I said I wanted to see Yuna on ice again, this wasn’t what I had in mind but it was a delight all the same. Loving this Olympic promo campaign so far!!

I just saw this series for the first time (I've seen the Lark Ascending documentary before):

I still can't believe she went out there and won GPF in her first senior season with her bandaged back. It is so deeply inspiring

And the look into her relationship with Orser/Wilson is really cute.

Yuna spoke at 2018 Nats! Can anyone translate what she said, please? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hqd3iaPqT3U

Cute videos of Yu-Na promoting the Olympics and appearing at Nationals! Thanks all for posting.

Fun fact: the newest US ladies champion's skating idol? Yu-Na Kim.

I suspected this was so when I saw this video of Bradie Tennell wearing a dress that is very much inspired by Yu-Na's iconic Danse Macabre dress. :)

Haa that makes 2/3, Karen too I believe. Good to see you Dame Jaylee ;)

I suspect too... she get extra bonus points for picking Taeguki (literally means Korean flag) for SP while everyone else played safe. I see alot of Yuna in the US girls in general. Her 2009 WC win in LA must have made a huge impression on these youngsters!

... body language wise ... cute

Rough translation.

On her daily schedule: Many people think I'm busy every day, but I don't have a full schedule every single day. She's trying to make as much impact as she can given that Pyeongchang is right around the corner.

On the younger Korean skaters: She met Eunsoo and Yerim and they told her they started skating right after they saw Yuna at the Vancouver Olympics. She was surprised/touched (especially by the age difference). And she is amazed by how fast they have grown in that short time.

On comparing the younger skaters to Yuna when Yuna was that age: There are so many strong competitors now compared to when she was a junior. Yuna also said these younger skaters have such eagerness in training/passion. She mentioned the intensity of domestic competitions versus foreign competitions and said they feel more burden/pressure with domestic competitions to the point they cry when domestic competitions end. She said she was glad she was born before them.

On what is most important for the success of the Olympics: Players competing without accidents or incidents. The interest of the Korean people in supporting and attending the Olympics, as well as supporting the athletes.

Thank you so much!!

Beautiful!

She still looks very much in shape! I don’t know if it’s because of her yoga and athletic gear ads but she looks physically very fit... fit enough to skate in something oh say... like an Olympic gala? 🙏🙏🙏🙏

This is the fancam where you can clearly hear a man shouting "for no reason" during Yuna's jumps(when she's jumping on the side of the rink where he is [emoji849]). I wonder why... [emoji58]

yeah it was terrible. i really didn't appreciate the crowd in Sochi. a lot of them were very rude. i hope Pyeongchang is better and won't do the same thing to Russian skaters.

No one in the Korean audience would dare to do that. People have way too much respect and general politeness. I am Russian and I am ashamed of how most of the audience members acted during that Freeskate (and SP), and the amount of contempt and hatred they had for the skaters who weren't Russian. Honestly it is completely unforgiveable and I cannot believe it wasn't called out by the general media/coaches/etc. :dev2:
