Gabriella Papadakis & Guillaume Cizeron

It's hard to judge that on a B&W pic but colors (green & gold) on the top of Gaby's SD dress were inverted and this change sounds quite great
As for Guillaume, he has a new top as you all saw but he may try another one at next practice. Let's see!

Moreover, performances today were just fab and that's the most important thing

Just my personnal opinion but this other top is my favourite one.... really fabulous 👌 but it’s up to Guillaume to decide of course 👍 😁

Are you referring to the new one that was seen in their practice yesterday or are you talking about the one that hasn't been seen yet? I do like this new long-sleeved one so far. It looks quite elegant but also indicative of 'Latin ballroom' (whatever that means!). As everyone is pointing out, I agree that it will enhance his lines. The short-sleeved one we've seen in many competitions is more 'street Latin'. If there is another one, I can't wait to see it. I hope we get a glimpse of it this Friday!

I really liked what Guillaume was wearing in the SD competitions this season so far. It really went well with the sporty and flashy style of Gaby's costume, and with the style of the music. I really really really loved the addition of the discrete rainblow-bling strips, for me that was a great and sexy modern costume to complement Gaby's.
But whatever makes them happy makes me happy. It's their show, I'll enjoy it regardless.

They feel good, got settled, saw the village and trained at the rink. They feel committed and motivated.
Guillaume didn't follow much the team event (the question was especially asking about V/M's performance) except for the French athletes. He stayed in his bubble. Gaby looked at the scores but not really the competition. She wanted to take advantage of their last week in Montreal, focus on their training at home. They did like usual, same hours, same preparation they do before each competition. They want to treat this competition like something they already know.
About Pyeongchang: So far, they saw the cafeteria ... but they also watched the pairs. Very nice competition and Guillaume thinks it's nice dance is not the first event. Gaby says it's nice to be there and warm up to what's going on. It allows them to take a step back from their own discipline, they don't feel like the center of the world. They can take in the atmosphere and energy.
About pressure: they know they can win if they skate the perfect programs but nothing is certain. They can win as well as lose but they tried to put everything on their side not too. Gaby says they need to handle the pressure they're allowing themselves to have, they want to succeed.

Thank you all for all the links and information! Trying to catch up on what's been happening the last few days, before they start! I am so nervous (more out of habit than any doubt)...I even took their two competition days off work to watch in peace and focus !

I hope P/C beat them resoundingly and leave those fans miserable for as long as they wish to be.

I've been around long enough to know that fans don't equal skaters. Both V/M and P/C have horrible fans. I've seen enough nonsense just on youtube vids to know that PC fans aren't any better. I'd never wish for someone to lose just because they're unfortunate enough to have idiots as fans.

Any news on the surprising changes made to their programs? I can't believe it's so close to the competition and still not a word about those changes.

They seem to have a great mindset about the competition, and I agree with them - if they put out two clean performances, that's all that matters.

PC have tons less pressure on them than VM, and I'm glad they recognize it. All they have to do is go clean, which they've done lots of times before. Just go out and enjoy it!

You're absolutely right. I've never said P/C didn't have a bunch of horrible/biased/mean fans too (I've seen a lot of them in YT comments). And Tessa and Scott do not deserve to be treated like trash (they are wonderful skaters and are worth much more than uninspired/despiteful remarks). But tbh, they've got much more obsessive fans than P/C (they've been in the game for so long), and some of them are getting so far...I just don't want Gabriella and Guillaume to suffer from those people's insanity - words and false allegations hurt the skaters (and they won't have to do much to receive a lot of hate). So if P/C win, I want to be able to deconstruct the worst sham (such as "#justiceforvirtueandmoir").
Again,I guess the skaters are smart enough not to pay attention to that crap. But I'm already worried, and they haven't even competed yet. I'm stressing out.

But the ones who started where canadians fans who started posting last season that "finally french has been judged fairly". I find it very insulting.Maybe thats why they are frustrated so much now . I dont have account on twitter or youtube unfortunately.

Indeed, especially since Scott is the one who fell at Worlds last year - during the element - and yet some judge still got the nerves to give them positive GOE on it (a +2 if I remember well). So the ones who were not judged fairly were the Canadians - they were overscored. However, some P/C fans went a bit too wild about it (the skaters are not responsible for their scores, and T&S were not so happy to have won like that...I don't want to put the blame on them - especially since they were consistent all season long).
Anw, what is upsetting me the most about their fans are the fake news. They are spreading a lot of false pieces of information (such as : 1) P/C are disrespecting V/M, 2) P/C are taking a break after the Olympics, 3) French media are talking badly about V/M - which again is absolutly not the case (may I remind you here that Didier himself said this morning that V/M were competitors "d'une très grande valeur"/ of a very "high-value") 4) P/C are arrogant, they think they are the best and don't need to train to win, which is why they arrived 5 days only before their performances 5) P/C organized a hudge conspiracy with their Federation so they can rob the OGM to V/M etc.
So yes, it's getting on my nerves. They're doing everything they can to bring them down.

Anw, don't worry guys, I won't dwell no more upon the subject. But to me, some things needed to be said, because either Gabriella and Guillaume win or not, they'll probably get a lot of hate from those people. And we'll need to be very supportive 🙂

You may be stressing out, but PC aren't. Since they are the ones are competing, I'd say stop worrying.

Yes I agree canadians were little overscored there, for sure but I rather meant scores where French competed against Canadians - NHK and GPF. Many people said that french got score they deserved and judges started scored them lower because Canadians came up and because obviously they' re better skaters. But they didnt see that most of time they made mistakes, the programs were far from perfect. Judges had no choice to score otherwise, but some of canadians fans thought they did it on purpose to show a difference between two couples. But Fench worked their asses of during off season and canadians still think it should be like last season. It is not and they blame conspiracy, not the work they put it in
