Alina Zagitova

Looks like Japan is going to give Alina a dog

https://www.kp.ru/daily/26802.7/3837102/

Alina wants to name the dog Masaru which means victory!

As I understand (I saw original video from Japanese tv) it's typical journalist mistake here. She was told that the dog's name is Masaru since they are 2 y.o. already. Alina doesn't know Japanese language at all and she couldn't want to name it like this :drama: Hm.. I have some doubts about - is it good idea to adopt such grown up dog who was raised by another language and people though..

She hardly can refuse such gift.

One comment in her insta says "In general, Masaru is boy’s name. Girl’s name which means victory in Japanese are Masa, Masami, or Masako" and man who told her about dog after press-conferense said that it's female dog. Hmmm, it's strange :scratch2:

Elucidus, do you speak Japanese?

Also, lots of UR's from her. Nevertheless she said in the interview after the show that she wasn't tired at all 0_0 Well, it could be just lip-service or it could be lack of training/weight control and/or very poor light there for such amount of difficult triples. Anyway usually skaters do not skate their FP as EX show for a reason.

I think the lighting was really dark for what they are doing. I am very happy the top two Russians did not get injured in this skating Gala in practically the dark.

I'm sure Alina is happy with her new pet, but I hope not every country is going to give her an animal now or they can start a zoo in Moscow ;)

Lovely gesture of the Japanese, though. They've been so kind to Alina and Zhenya:hap10:

i could only understand that she likes pets and does not have friends ;rest in nonsense - at least in English
Actually there are more that you can understand. She loves pets because she doesn't have friends and pets helps her to cope with loneliness. She isn't going to school and she is having mostly private tutors. She can't eat anything in the evening except drinking tea. Also that she is missing her family very much and that she lives in very small apartments - which is a shame for Oly champion, tbh.

But why doesn't she have friends?

Well, there are lots of people not having friends, btw. Me included ) It's common occurence nowadays, in modern society. I think she has rather limited amount of people with whom she usually is communicating - and considering that those people are not neccessarily compatible with her character or her shyness/introvert type of temperament - it's not that surprising.

I thought she gets along well with some girls from the skating group: Anna Scherbakova, Darya Panenkova... even with Evgenia.
But maybe she still feels lonely because her mother is far away...

well, getting along does not mean being friends.

But... I though her and Evgenia are big friends... or maybe it's some wishful thinking from fans?

I seen about four performance of this show and all were sorta messy.

Lighting was horrible, not just DARK but all those patterns of lights...musta been hard to skate on such ring.

Maybe they thought that the tiger number would inappropriate for "pride of the nation" labelled show. Still. Why let her do her insanely hard, but yet not that great free program? why not something light and fun and enjoyable?
