My grandmother saw Sonja Henie when she toured in Pro shows. Peggy Fleming performed her free skate on outdoor ice. Katterina Witt acted in a Bond film. Once upon a time, Dorothy Hamill came out of retirement to skate with Champions on Ice. Tara and Johnny are the new Peggy and Dick. Sarah Hughes confounded 2 favorites. Shizuka Arakawa best of a weak field. Yu Na hovered over this year's event. Adelina Sotnikova blossomed at just the right time. Saw her chance and took it. High jumper, great legs, fun to see her with her hair down. Won Russian Dancing with the Stars.

Peggy Fleming and Dorothy Hamill (along with other figure skaters) had parts in "Blades of Glory." Michelle Kwan was very active in Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, serving as surrogate outreach coordinator. Michelle is also active with Special Olympics. Shizuka Arakawa was in a TV series, has done choreography, and I believe she has also served as commentator.

I don't know if this post fits the thread, but I feel that one performance of great Irina Slutskaya, fits the ghost part. It was a weird competition in Japan, and I think Irina represented Europe. She was completely out of shape and the worst part was she tried to do more than she could at that time. I don't know, but why she agreed to to skate in such a bad shape, I don't know. I feel a cute ghost would look better.

My mother just uploaded a set of old family photos... and there’s me with my Dorothy Hammil haircut! It was the height of fashion at the time. I even begged for the Short N Sassy shampoo.

Even felt a bit of disappointment that I had 20/20 vision (at the time) and wouldn’t get to wear her glasses!
