Yes that’s what I’m feeling, I mean the choreo may be nice but ... hopefully they’ll pick a fun theme and minimize the obvious.
Looks like Nathan’s partnered with Meryl. Which works since she’s the most experienced female ice dancer and their body types match.

I wonder if he'll just stay in Japan and do shows between the Nagano show on June 10 and DOI on July 6. Gotta pad that college fund.

He'd be cutting it short to prepare programs for next year though, NBC says Yale classes start August 29. Unless he's repeating programs.
Maybe he already has. He choreographed No Good with Shae awhile back and could have done them at the same time. But then some skaters also don't decide on their programs until after Champs Camp.
please no repeating programs, Nathan has done both Nemesis and Last Dancer justice this season, and both programs has already became iconic programs. They have left their marks in figure skating history.
We may only have 4 more years of Nathan and that is only 4 more pairs of new programs. I hope Nathan can get 2 brand new programs this coming season.
new programs will normally take a week to choreo. the end of SOI is 5/20, DOI is 07/6 there are 45 days in between, what is Nathan's schedule in these days.

:yes:unlikely that Nathan choreoed 2 new programs with Shae back then. OG season is really packed, the medal hopefuls sometime will spent precious time for a new ex and will only have time for thim. for example, Yuna got a new ex "meditation" only for OG (like Nathan's "no good"). But really unlikely to get 2 new programs for next season, never heard of.
Also considering new rule change. maybe skaters will arrange new programs choreo after they heard more about new rule change

i just checked Broadmoor Open(new system testing event) is at June 19 – 23. So he has time to do that, and test out his FS, if Nathan choose to do a Summer event.

just realized that Nathan's "nemesis" perhaps is the best figure skating program using music with lyrics since lyrics is allowed. Well, among the programs that I watched.
never once, it occurred to me there are lyrics in this piece. yet lyrics like "So you turn around and march on out to your new home" and "Nemesis is, nemesis is, nemesis is, nemesis is" has been combined so seamless with choreo. That whenever I heard those lyrics, Nathan's move will appear in my head.

use lyrics for FS is not a easy job, especially if you need to cut and edit from multiple songs. Lyrics will easily feel abrupt and disturbing. In some cases, they even cut in the middle of a music phrasing/a lyric sentence. If you understand the lyric language it is really disturbing.
luckily Nemesis is a song do not need to further editing. but it is also because it really suited Nathan or the choreo really suited the song and Nathan and all tech elements.
I was watching "Back from the edge" I think the first part (up to "reach for the star"), choroe wise is really brilliant. Afterwards, although, still creative moves throughout, but it does get a little repetitive.
this program reminds me of Yuna's "imagine" it is also a ballad type, maybe not the best cover and not much highs and lows(layers) in music itself.
However, with a couple highlighting idea in choreo (such as the genius incorporation of sign language), it made this program/performance fresh, intriguing and memorable.

Buttle is going to Japan next week for Hanyu's show. And then he has to go to Canada for their SOI. Not really any time.
