:yes:Now I’m watching staring at his posture the whole time lol
My roommate (who also danced) just said ‘His posture looks fine to me - I don’t know what those people are talking about’ lol
Maybe we are both just blinded by his hotness, curls and that little white collar

Nathan’s hotness and exponentially increasingly good looks are why HD and 4K were invented lol
Another quote from my roommate:
Even his shoulder blades were back when he landed 3A
So hot in the post-skate interview
yyyskate - Nathan is obviously flawless but I still see that freckle on the left side of his nose![]()

:rofl2:I secretly love Shoma’s deep knee bend, his absolute passion and devotion to skating, his love of yakiniku and I admit I have spent more time than I will admit watching baby videos of Shoma with my Shoma loving friend (SO CUTE)
eta: I prefer mens far more to ladies now. And I kinda hate the fake ballet programs from some of the top ladies lately - there’s a reason why real ballerinas don’t wear gloves.
:hap85:
Granted, there were some awkward moments when they had to actually dance with each other most likely due to neither of them being ice dancers (the partnering and holds were a bit awks) as well as the lack of height difference, I thought it was a fun piece that allows Nathan to once again showcase his wide range. Yes the posture was bad at times, but was it really worse than what we’ve already seen from him in like Parachute or Back From The Edge? LOL. As to the age difference...I never really understood the gripe some have for age difference between ice dance / pairs partners ...after all these are just two people being partnered up to put on a show really.. I actually had been wondering if he could possibly pull off a Latin number, and after seeing this I think the answer is yes! And I really look forward to it! Just compare how Guillaume Cizeron pull off a latin body roll in their SP this season and how Nathan does it in the number with Ash. the posture difference is significant, yes Nathan can do rolls, wave, etc. and his fab musicality can easily handle a latin piece, but his posture definitely needs improvement.
yyyskate - I can’t get over the comparison of Nathan to Ciz lol
I think once Nathan gets more comfortable with the choreo and partnering, he will look a lot better
Nathan - you have until 5/13 to get this down - no pressure lol
Cizeron is so amazing that to me, he outshines Gabby (who is still amazing in her own right). Poor Nathan having to meet that ice dancing standard lol
Cizeron is arguably the best male ice dancer ever and they spent a whole season perfecting the SD. Even for the SD debut P/C would have had months to practice the choreography and Latin moves with professional dance instructors. Nathan had what, 2 days? Just a little unrealistic to make serious comparison between the two, no?
It's not as bad as it first seemed? But still more than a little weird.

Nah, they hardly even touch each other compared to the other pairs who are doing lifts/carries.

I don't care as well, just very very very jealous of Ash (but Ashy no worriesme too!!! I posted in the Shoma thread that my fav yakiniku in the US is Tsuruhashi in Fountain Valley, CA and I would recommend him to eat there if he competes at 4cc next year. They suggested I email him through his website lol
The ice dance routine doesn’t bother me at all - overplayed Ed Sheeran, fake illicit shots and all. Don’t care about the age difference and don’t see how it’s inappropriate. I’m sure by the time I get to see it on 5/13 Nathan will have improved a lot. It’s quite a lot to expect him to performing ice dancing confortably and with confidence with just a few days rehearsal, especially next to the actual pros.
I love ya). I wanna dance with Nathan too
:sad21:Yes, I agree that to do a serious latin number Nathan would definitely have to work on his posture. I also noted Nathan's posture issue in my post. To me, strangely his posture problem disappears or is a lot less apparent in his classical numbers (Le Cosaire, Bolero) as if he had been trained to subconsciously address this when such music plays. I also get the feeling that he thinks a more lax carriage is suitable for modern numbers and I actually really appreciate him for adjusting his upper body carriage to different genres of music (I actually dislike it when skaters keep the same carriage or movement style regardless of what genre of music they skate to but I won't name names here) but at the same time I also do believe he needs to find a better way to balance moving more relaxed and having the proper posture. But having seen how beautiful his posture is in these classical programs I really don't think it's impossible for him to fix his posture problem in others.I just give out examples about good posture vs bad posture when doing latin body roll. (why Ciz, not other ice dancers, cos similar should/neck/upperback structure as Nathan)
Also, some moves when Nathan get it , he get it right away, with only 2 days' practice he can do it as well as a whole season's practice.
