Since Patrick is retired and his time is relevantly flexible, I am always dreaming that he can come to Nathan to help with his SS and postures, even co-coach Nathan with RAF, at least for a few months. Patrick's SS is so exquisite and his postures are always elegant and beautiful. Now because you name Nathan to "pass the torch" to, you have the responsibility to build a better Nathan. Please do it, Patrick!

Going back to the topic of Nathan’s shyness - I heard from a friend of a friend of a friend today (ha) that Nathan is quite shy and awkward irl ... which honestly makes him even cuter to me

I'm super excited for Nathan to have the opportunity to enter into another new world at Yale. The skating world is frankly so small, and can be cloaked in so much small minded traditional thinking. His intelligence and raw talent will continue to provide him with reasons to be fulfilled on so many levels, in so many other worlds. Skating fans seem to see skaters as only that. Skaters. But Nathan, along with a hand full of other exceptional athletes, is gifted with inherent abilities to excel at many things. Wishing him well in exploring each year of this coming quad, as not one will be like any other he has experienced previously, and I suspect each one ahead will have its unique joys and challenges.

I respect you, but I can't agree! The curls are perfection! I cried when his hair wasn't bouncy during his skating. :sad21: And that little perfect curl that falls on his forehead is the most amazing thing in the world.

Just my impression - Nathan seems less sheltered to me than some other top skaters - he can’t only do skating, lots of outside interests ... and going to Yale and college in general will be a great thing for him.

Honestly he is just one of those people who could excel at almost anything - so talented plus his work ethic. And gifted in so many ways - my friend even commented that he has perfect hands (for like ballet, piano) - I mean seriously !

I agree. Nathan seems to have so many outside interests for someone who is so busy. Unbelievably talented.
