why going to BO is not an option, TSL suggested it.
TSL can suggest whatever they want, but it doesn’t mean they aren’t clueless at least half of the times...

Added perhaps, since it is still not 100% sure yet.

And about poor results, I don't think he'd be fine with poor results at all.
Some videos of Nathan completely unrelated to SOI or Yale:
This short message was to the fans attending the Santa Barbara ice show that was canceled but rescheduled for early Feb so that he wasn't able to attend. His message begins after the 2min mark.

Just half the time?
I think a lot of people had a knee jerk reaction to PC. It’s best to make decisions carefully and methodically.
Haha, what’s PC though?
No traveling for sponsorship commitments. No NBC promos or USOC meet and greets. Finally he can stay in one spot and focus just on training and school for the first time in two years.

I wouldn't be so sure...![]()
@frida80
I disagree with you on some. just name one: Any great and responsible coach understand NOT to tweak or mess much around whatever already works, they will communicate with skaters to work on whatever needs to be improved. So NO need to worry about that if changing coaches.

I guess that confirms Frank Carroll was a bad coach. J/k
Brian has a very specific jumping technique, specifically with landing. Nathan would have to switch his technique with Brian to master it. But that’s just one detail. THe biggest is Yale, or college in general. It’s incomparable with the TCC.
But he's given no indication he wants to change coaches? I know you want him to, but that's not realistic at this point. Or what he seems to want. Their relationship seems pretty good and they work well together. They also seem to have come to a better understanding lately as well, and worlds was a great success. And there is no elite coach that is going to work with him at Yale like Raf is willing to work with him period.
If anything he'd work with someone else for the things he lacks (hopefully without the drama of last time), but he's always going to stick with Raf for his jumps.
TBH, all these is not up to us figure skating fans to judge. It is between Skaters and Coaches, they will know better after try-outs, communication etc.
Nathan needs to work on his jump landing flow a bit tbh.
Nathan may take 1 or 2 gap year to prepare for next OG
If it does not work out, it does not work out.
Does anyone seriously think Nathan is not going to be traveling for sponsorship commitments this coming season?
He's adding even possibly new sponsors to his roster.
This is a guy who just did that WALMART pop up appearance - he really doesn't look any closer to saying No than before?
Part of me loves that about him - but I think it is unrealistic to expect he's really just going to stop traveling all over the place - maybe cut back, but completely eliminate - I doubt it.
