His gray zip up sweatshirt has replaced his old favorite - that white Adidas jacket. They seem to be his version of a security blanket, lol
TSL are looking a few skaters and not all variables involved. No coach is a fix all for every athlete. This same sort of thinking happened when Gracie went to Frank. It’s easy to think that Frank could make her a championship, but only if you focus on skaters like, Michelle and ignore skaters that fizzled under his training.
I think Nathan is plenty hungry. Losses always leave a huge impression on champions. When Michelle skated clean at Worlds in 1995 and didn’t even place, it pushed her to change her skating to become the legend that she became. Yuzuru’s dedication for greatness came from that awful FS af Sochi. Mirai learned a 3A because she was left off the team in 2014. Trust me, a loss like that will only push him even more to become the greatest skater of all time.

I even think his headphones, skateboard, and bike were all given to him. That's why he doesn't have a car yet--waiting for a car sponsor.
But he's given no indication he wants to change coaches? I know you want him to, but that's not realistic at this point. Or what he seems to want. Their relationship seems pretty good and they work well together. They also seem to have come to a better understanding lately as well, and worlds was a great success. And there is no elite coach that is going to work with him at Yale like Raf is willing to work with him period.
If anything he'd work with someone else for the things he lacks (hopefully without the drama of last time), but he's always going to stick with Raf for his jumps.

promo! very fluffy today

I guess Toyota could always come through...
More than likely, someone like his parents will buy him a car before he gets to Yale.
I wonder where that denim jacket came from...

i always love cute toyotas, but seems toyota has already been taken by his rival Shoma, Rivalry :dev2: Maybe Honda can come thru and sign Marin Honda as well.
yes and that famous "denim jacket". why our BOI wears it in all M&G why? we need answers.

Regarding his training, I actually really liked that he went to Marina in summer 2016. I think the improvement he made under her was obvious. Marina as an ice dance coach really helped him with his edging (particularly great in his SP steps) as well as his overall carriage. I wish he could go back to Marina again for that kind of training and wouldn't mind if he got a classical LP out of her. I don't particularly like her choreography for ice dance, but she has done some really oustanding singles programs to classical music.
I'd disagree on one point: His edging and overall movement improvements came with working with Shae-Lynn Bourne more than Marina Z. Shae is known for her deep amazing edges.
Nathan earned about $100,000 in winnings this year, excluding Japan Open, which also pays well. As a condition, USFS matches his winnings dollar for dollar. Meaning he’s earned $200,000 in just one season for winning his competitions. Apparently he’s saved all of his money from his sponsorships to pay for school. Rumor has it, it should be in the high six figures for each and bonuses for every competion he won. That’s all before getting his USFS money for being an tier one envelope A Athlete. Not to mention the touring fees he’s getting from both SOI and shows in Japan. I think he’s set for paying for school and training for awhile.
And he’s exceptionally frugal as well! He wears shirts given to him from Nike or shirts from fans and the same pants for all his figure skating costumes!naturally Jackson and John Wilson give him blades as a part of his sponsorship. So his expenses aren’t that high. I can see why he wanted to minor in business.
