As a former dancer, I could tell before I really knew anything about Nathan that he probably had professional dance training because his carriage is very evident. Many skaters are skaters who learn to dance for the sake of skating whereas Nathan came across to me as a dancer who also knew how to skate, I don’t know if that makes sense but his body awareness is that of a dancer and it shows in his skating. I figured it was either Ballet or Contemporary he trained in before I looked it up and it turned out to be ballet (I personally think he would have excelled at contemporary too though by the way he moves)

Appreciate you sharing your professional opinion on Nathan's dance training. He does move like a dancer. I really hope his programs next season can showcase his dance skills more explicitly to untrained eyes.

Nathan is not your typical showman--and most people probably liken the word to skaters like Jason or Adam, with their very extroverted and outward kind of expressiveness--but he's got a very unique style and aura that you simply can't take your eyes off of and truly reminds me of no one from all my years of watching figure skating. It's so magnetic. It was incredible sitting in my 3rd row seat watching that well defined masculine (for lack of a better superlative :palmf:) danciness pour from his body and fill the arena. Here's a skater who feels every beat, nuance, melody and emotion of the music and dances to every second of it. And I could watch his arms in his rolled up sleeves forever and ever.

WOW, you probably were at the best angle for that boys' dance!! You could see so much of what Nathan was doing! This is amazing!!!

ETA: Is it just me or did he add his own moves in this number? :laugh:

Mamamiia your videos are absolutely amazing--I could see on youtube how fabulous they are! Thank you so much for these!!!!

Nathan danced so wonderfully and looked like he had a blast-- especially in the guys group number and Nemesis. He also comes across as comfortable with the Shape of You number now--I'm really happy to have such a wonderful capture of this full length program, focused on Nathan. Wow, I am floored--these videos are such joy! :love: :biggrin: :luv17:

I love Back from the Edge too, and I love the angle you captured for the eagle near the end, the 'reach for the stars' part--suits the drama perfectly :love:

Thank you so much for the amazing videos! I went to the show in Hershey and was really blown away by how much he's improved in person. His presence and charisma really comes through when you are in the arena with him. Everyone around me kept talking about how amazing he was after he finished both numbers. :)

That’s is precious considering some are just there for entertainment and still be captured by his performance, glad you had a blast!

I also had a girl who wanted me to text her the videos I was taking of him on my IG account and she gave me her number so I could send them to her. :laugh:
 
OTOH, why do posts keep getting deleted in this thread? Last time I saw we were at page 431 but now it's back to 430. I'm not sure if oatmella is still deleting her posts or if the mods are doing it? :confused:

Ahh, that’s very kind but I wouldn’t call myself a professional. It was more a fun hobby. I would think that even with no dance experience people can pick up on his dance ability. It’s very obvious if you’ve watched any dancing before (like any of those dance shows or movies)but maybe having had experience, I’m biased and it’s just more obvious to me.

It might be both? The board is monitored pretty strictly it seems but she might also not have finished deleting some of her posts, I’m sure it can get tiring trying to delete all that content.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, a dancer who also knew how to skate is a great compliment! Can’t wait for his next season programs sorry I kept repeating this wish haha

I must admit I’m very impressed with your video recording since it’s your first time playing with it but I’m most impressed with the void of your screaming, usually you can hear the screams from the fans but yours had none, that’s difficult haha thanks for making the effort to upload them so quickly! Thanks to shine as well and your thoughts on the performance *nodding in agreement *, ahhh I’m going to chill here into sunset while binge watch them 😍
