Nathan Chen

Nathan shouldn't be getting thinner. Although his muscle ratio is very high. Missing meals and sleep will result in rapid weight loss. I can't wait for this tour to be over. In the meantime, I hope he supplements as well as he can.

Nathan's birthday is on the Milwaukee stop. Hope he will get lots of birthday gift there, and lucky Milwaukee fans can celebrate his 19 birthday with Nathan. Hope it will be a special night.
Also something I found interesting with the scheduling is that they will go to Milwaukee from Grand Rapids. How are they going to to do that? Take a Boat?
They have taken the flight, the bus, if they take a boat this time. that will be a complete tour experience
They could drive from Grand Rapids to Muskegon and take the Lake Express ferry from Muskegon to Milwaukee. I kinda doubt they would do that. Much easier to fly, I would think.

frida80 - I agree and Nathan must be losing some muscle mass :(
He seems to have lost quite a bit of weight in just a few weeks.

thanks for the info, probably it is easier to just fly, but the ferry sounds a very interesting Road trip or should I say Water trip for the crew.

this year's very long SOI feels really tiring indeed. thus the potential benefit of Nathan's own show in the future. For example, one or two weekend in West Coast Cities and a weekend in cities at the east coast near Yale. maybe just one more in Salt Lake City. All these places will have deep connection with Nathan, thus the tickets selling should be good. And much less traveling.

Yuna's ATS show only has one weekend, and the invited skaters are very generously paid and the location is only one ice arena.

Quick report from the first half in Chicago...the boy is killing it. I had tears in my eyes. So much passion . Quad toe was just amazing!
Ashley is phenomenal! Like a totally different skater.
Adam looks fine.
Jason did not attempt any jumps. I hope he is ok.
Audience went crazy when Adam was announced. But then they got crazier after Nathan skated! Did I tell you he skated with passion...? ah...I want to see it again.

thanks georgia for the halftime report :). Nathan skating with such passion and moving you to tears😍

sounds like Nathan has been really bringing it to the shows! - despite lack of good sleep and food.

I have heard Ashley’s performances have also been amazing

something about the beginning choreo of BFTE intrigues me,
is that, when the lyric sings "back from the boy who is reaching for the stars", He reached before the lyric, and did that "upper body drop and lounge step" choreo during "reaching for the starts"
this mis-matching in terms of lyric meaning, and body language meaning gets me very time!!! IMHO, very genius choreo idea, I have seen this kinda choreo idea used before.

since it is choreoed by Nathan himself, wonder what kinda meaning is behind this or is there any meaning at all. A wild guess, maybe it represents his stumble in OG short while he is reaching for the brightest star of his career. And it is in the beginning of the program, he did the reach the star move matched to the lyric "reach the star" later into the performance.

If there is no meaning at all, this kinda arrangement is pretty genius in itself.

I’m honestly not sure if Nathan’s choreo is that deliberate in meaning - maybe ...

But maybe he’s like Balanchine ;) in putting the music first - those slouchy lunge steps imo perfectly match the music.

My fav part of BTFE for sure and I really thought that was genius choreo the first time I saw it from the Osaka show.

I also think my literal analysis of the intention of this chore is a little "reach" too much;)

everything in Nathan's BFTE is very well timed to the music, specially the beginning choreo. it feels like that Nathan running out of ideas towards the end:biggrin:

;);)
