Does anyone have any idea why Zhenya isn’t at the inauguration where Eteri, Alina, Plushy and Tarasova are. Considering she recommended People to vote for Putin I’d have thought she would have been invited. I know she’s on holiday but would have thought this was quite important even just from a politicking standpoint. If she was invited is she not going to avoid Eteri.
 
Poor Zhenya, she's had such a difficult and exhausting year, emotionally, physically, morally, and now she's flying back from her relaxing holiday (well, maybe not so relaxing if she's been keeping her eye on the news!) and straight into this sh!tstorm!
 
After yesterday comments from eteri, i will not completely rule out a country change.

Armenia for sure is not a option. China, Canada or USA could be.
Nevertheless Russia is still the likely option.

And if she did, then surely it must be hard for you to put yourself in her place. maybe you forgot what it's like to be at that age, let alone having all that pressure and attention of you. In any case, Eteri disclosing this information to the public makes her look 100 times worse than Evgenia, even if she did say it.

If Zhenya sad it and it is not certain she did didnt Elena make history winning back to back junior world titles? Maybe Zhenya was thinking along those lines.

I just woke up. Is eveything peaceful today as I predicted? Is everyone including Eteri being nice to Zhenya today?

To me a few things are clear:

1- As expected, Eteri is incredibly salty that one of her best students is leaving. However, to me the fact that she went of national TV to spread the venom indicates that Zhenya's move is a fait accompli. Eteri sounds desperate - she knows that the announcement is coming, and she tried to pre-empt it by smearing Zhenya.

Now all the talk is about the juniors, but a lot can happen between now and Jan 2020. Maybe some will make it, maybe some don't. Zhenya knows this, she learned the harsh way, and RusFed also knows this. Will the RusFed ditch a skater with a proven record of consistency who was able to medal even with an injury? Especially after seeing what happened to Alina at Worlds?

The isu wants to make changes so if Russia r any other country has say 8 of the top 25 rankngs in a disciplne or 5 of the top 10 that country should have more than 3 slots for worlds and olympics and by 2021 I expect Russia to dominate the ladies rankings like never before. I expect Zhenya to still be Russian then

She hasn't landed yet. She didn't recommend people vote for Putin, she just recommended that people go vote.

Yeah, that would make life easier. But even without the change, I still believe in Zhenya. As amazing as other girls are, they are inside Eteri's pressure cooker. How many of them will resist, and for how long? Eteri knows a lot of them are likely to break, and that's why she has so many girls on the go. Eteri knows it's rare to find someone so mentally tough as Zhenya. That's why she's so pissed off.

Zhenya is a tough girl. After puberty period, she reminds at the top level. So, I think it's doubtless that Zhenya can overcome this too.

Never going to happen, it'll remain at 3.

New Info from insider (it is possible to trust or not).

I care not only about the new coach, but also the relationship between Zhenya and Alina. I love Zhenya the most, but Alina is also one of the skaters that I appreciate. Although the relationship between two of them may not really as we imagine, I still afraid that would be a vicious competition between two of them in the future, especially after the interview of Eteri on TV.

I think the two girls are more sensible than that. Who knows, as long as no one is taking a crowbar to the knee this time (god forbid), it will fire them up even more and we'll see some incredible new performances from both of them.
