Where did this rumor come from? I saw it in English language twits but I wasn't able to find a single one source in Russian. Yeah, I'm not familiar with Russian sources but usually I succeed in such search.

After these weeks, what I can say is that almost everything is fake in figure skating world
. So, yes, what can you do other than play the game...I hope that Gubanova will be ok now that she's at CSKA

Btw, Panenkova now looks to be Eteri's #2 senior skater.

Erm, nobody but that wasn‘t my point, really ? I reacted to a post which said something along those lines of he/she wants Alina to have a dog, holidays and a costume which isn‘t a tutu. It wasn‘t a „too“ serious post. And mine wasn‘t either. It was merely something that happened to me, nothing more. Honestly. Did I ever write that Alina doesn‘t deserve her OGM because OF THE COSTUME SHE WEARS or because of what my friend without experience thinks? Seriously. I just said that the tutu makes her look like a child - which isn‘t generally a bad thing - but with all the people overreacting and critizicing she‘s a childish jumping bean... I meant that this might be too why there were such huge reactions all over the world in case of „Uff, Alina doesn‘t deserve this, Zhenya was robbed“ etc. Because people judge by what they first see. That‘s the point I was trying to make with bringing my „non-figure-skating-friend“ in. Not critizicing Alina.
You people here all need to... calm down a bit. Not everything people write here is an insult to your bae skater, really.

No i don‘t think so! I think she has also a kind of special relationship to eteri! (Kiss and cry after russian senior nationals)
And i also don‘t think that eteri is a unhuman coach because a lot skatets told that they are not forced to work! And trusova said she wasn‘t allowed go jump 1000 and 1000 of quads per day...

But I also don‘t think Trusova‘s going to leave Eteri, at least not now. Maybe in a few years, though. But whom would she even go to now? I don‘t think she can afford coaching outside Russia and there aren‘t many better coaches - if any - than Eteri. Maybe when she can financially afford to do it but now I personally don‘t see a way.

Well, I think any kind of success is a combination of skill and luck. Phil had a ton of issues for sure, but the reason I used him as an example and not someone else is because I think the teams he coached (Bulls, Lakers) are more analogous to figure skating where you have more of a "star" instead of everything being a team effort. I like your point about Brad Stevens but I wouldn't use him as an example of perfect coaching yet—after all, he hasn't won a ring, and he hasn't had to deal with any egos yet (like having a breakout star who doesn't like his role on the team anymore). (And also on the Celtics, the way they handled the Isaiah situation? That was a good eye opener into how sports really is just business, I mean the guy sacrificed his health! Should Brad Stevens have stopped him from playing? Idk) However, he's getting a lot out of this team (more than anyone could have expected) but they're definitely going down to LeBron in the next round. I do like him a lot as a coach and I hope newer generations follow in that line of accommodating the players rather than fighting them. /offtopic (sorry)
And as to the Eteri point—if that's true, then I will definitely take back my words. If you go through my post history you'll see I'm a new-ish fan, and only started following it seriously in 2017 (just in time for Olympics!) so I wasn't tuned in when Yulia was under Eteri. My opinion of her was formed based on that "Of Fire and Ice" documentary and the Evgenia one that just came out, and I thought she yelled a lot but didn't see too much cause for concern. But like I said earlier, I don't fault Evgenia for leaving at all. I truly do wish her the best and maybe that she'll compete at Skate America this year since she's so close (and I have tickets!)
Fair points! I see so much of some of my former coaches in Eteri that I take it personally sometimes, lol. I’ve had both strict, effective coaches and strict emotional/impulsive irrational egomaniacs who will ignore doctors orders and risk the health of their athletes. Eteri strikes me as the latter. I’m also new to the sport but have been learning everything I can about Sambo 70. This needs to be a movie or tv series.

She seems to have fixed her Flutz. At least that one looks about as amazing as a 1Lz can possibly look.
One of the things I really look forward to next season is what her program will be and which category she will skate in, exactly. Might she even be trying her hand in the iun. 1 category in early 2019? If so, that'd actually mean that she'd be doing sports 2 in 2019-2020 and assuming everything goes really well, it would mean at least a local Basic Novice qualifier appearance... They really grow up fast, huh.
Actually. Now this is an idea. She's in Voronezh, Voronezh oblast. Now, I know someone who was in Russia's Elder Age(junior level) championships from there. She finished 25th out of 28, with 123 points(winner 194). In other words, that's a very easy region for qualifying. Would it actually be possible that she could participate in Russia's basic novice(younger age) championships in 2020 as a 8-year-old? That's such a crazy idea but sheesh, due to the region qualifier system some of the qualifying skaters are really bad and she wouldn't even need to learn triple jumps... That'd be quite something to see.

IIRC, Valieva's 'famous' ballerina program was from Moscovian qualifiers to Younger Nats. She was 8 there and of course didn't qualify (two years later she won it!).

Yes, Kamila naturally couldn't qualify. But that's the thing. With the level of qualifying skaters...
Kamila Valieva for example did indeed score 116.76 points with her performance at those 2016 Moscow qualifiers.
Polina Stepanova(From Voronezh, like Kostyleva) actually was at the 2015 Russian younger age(basic novice) national championships and scored 117.67 there.
So merely a similar performance would likely be required for Kostyleva to qualify for the actual Russian basic novice nationals... Though the difference is, she would be half a year younger than Kamila Valieva at the time. Well, it remains to be seen but I believe that... that would be very good for her career(I assume she wouldn't stay at that club - perhaps even the city - for long. Everyone on there is a complete no-name). They do seem to be rather invested in skating. From what I can tell, she has visits to Moscow during which she competes at several competitions in rapid succession(Like now in May and back in December). She also has apparently gone to St. PB to compete... And well, her parents going to such lengths to get her some decent competition seems to imply that they are rather committed. Hopefully everything will work out for her and she will end up somewhere that can allow her some excellent opportunities(Should be a matter of course if she actually does compete at the national championships and has good results).

they are skaters from Philippines who trained in Eteri group during at least 1 month, I don't know how did they get there and who payed it

I know one is from Philippines who had been training with Eteri for a month or so. I assume it's some sort of a program for globalizing figure skating, but I really have no idea. I don't know who the other one is, but I assume it's something similar(edit: Explained above..).
I also know that Vlad Zhilin on his VK posted three photos of Veronika in Moscow so I assume that's when she would have visited Eteri's group. Considering that Zhilinas live in a thoroughly remote town in the middle of nowhere and that they had a pic taken with Alina and Sasha about a month ago, I would assume that they'd at least be trying out for Eteri.

Is she good skater?
These are some philippines trainees, as I heard. Thus, info about Eteri not taking foreign students isn't completely true - it seems she can do it while it's not for long time and not dangerous rivals in fs world scene.

Apart from significant issues with the jumps, I'd say that she's... Well, you don't run into someone like that every day.
