it is true, I kr at least in China, in COC many fans had very lovely encounter with skaters such as Alina, Kolyada, P/C and Vincent.
ETA, SUI/HAN are very very casual with their fans in international competitions, I heard in US, they actually had like a group chat (in person) kinda thing with a bunch of fans in or near the arena.

yeah, I was going to post the GPF tickets have been sold out for a while now. It's also a very small venue. Essentially any event Hanyu is likely to attend would be sold out immediately.
Does anyone know when the Worlds tickets are going to go on sale and if there's any good way to get a hold of these tickets? I feel like if I want to go I need to be very prepared as soon as the tickets go on sale. :dev2:

In one of my past posts on this I mentioned USA/Canada skaters mostly. There are skaters from other countries that also fall in that category.
I actually used to live only a few miles away from the new Irvine facility. So I would think random encounters with skaters are not impossible if you live in the same area as them.
But I live nowhere near the Irvine facility now !

I've actually been wondering why there hasn't been more fans "stalking" Nathan at his Lakewood training base 
I feel like anyone could essentially just walk in and watch the skaters there since it's not a private rink? Also, not saying I would but I was surprised that his music for this season never got leaked over the summer just by anyone who happened to be at the rink and saw him practice.

Sometimes, international skaters will even do warm-up in the public area. I have seen Satoko do warm-ups in the lobby of arena and the Japanese TV crew was recording her and all the fans give her space, only walk-by or observe in distance for a bit.

I do regret not going to the Lakewood send off before the Olympics - which was a public event - no stalking required
As much interest as there may seem in Nathan - I think he mostly gets to live a normal life - outside of the skating environment.

I would assume most figure skating fans are very respective to skaters even if they somehow randomly heard Nathan's music they would respect Nathan's privacy.
The kinda "stalking" behavior in hotel lobby etc., you can also do it in a very respective way.
ETA, also the stalking behavior in the hotel lobby is really not "stalking", the hotel lobby is a public area.

Surprised the GPF is already sold out. Hanyu or not, skating events rarely sell out that early (if they even end up selling out).

Can you imagine there is a send-off party for Yuzuru, I think the arena would exploded.
In fact Nathan's FS music was leaked on IG last summer, but I didin't know it at the time. The 5th photo/vid is a short clip of Nathan practicing his FS.
