It's not about simplicity. I love simple programs. It's about the way the connection between the music and her was lacking -- not because she didn't possess musicality, but because of certain choreographic nuances.
True, I see your point. More than the connection to music, what stands out in her program seems to be the feeling of finally skating. To paraphrase what I wrote earlier, it appears that the mood she made is the apprehension and and the accompanying excitement of creating something new. She was well guarded in the first try, but I think she showed more abandonment (though, of course, not in comparison to her Nessum Dorma) in her last performance of it. This program still looks beautiful for me though, both aesthetically and in terms of the overall feeling she can command on ice, and a nice addition to her body of work
