Gabriella Papadakis & Guillaume Cizeron

I think it's my favourite of their exhibition programs to date - it's quite different from their competition style, and the way they play with the umbrella is very cool. Plus, Guillaume's cartwheel on ice!

Thank you for the videos everyone! Gravity is beautiful indeed  and their short is such a great program not just for competitions but these shows as well. All the Korean comments I've seen of them have been so complimentary of their performance and how modern their style is, calling Gravity a scene out of a movie :) I'm sure they've gained more fans through this!

They seem to have had a great time and now Guillaume is joking that he wants to be a tennis player, haha!

I love how they immediately agree on steamed chicken before a competition and burger and chips after, LOL!

Is there a reason why they never do twizzles in exhibitions or shows? Are those elements sooooo horrible for them that they simply can't stand doing them unless they have to? I wonder because I find twizzles magical, certainly when done like they do.

Or waiaiaiaiait a second... While typing this I might just have come up with the answer. Twizzles can only be perfectly synchronized by training them on a very strict musical line, over and over and over again. So they won't be able to do them well on other music, unless they have to train days on end on them, right?
So not transposable to a random musical phrase, and since the music differs...: no twizzles in exhibitions.
Bummer.

(And ya, I'm still alive... ;) )

Thanks for asking this question. I've always wondered myself since I do love their twizzles.

Sorry about the bung link! I dunno though, it seems like a fairly straightforward announcement to me. And if Guillaume is trying his hand at choreography, well - isn't there a season coming up where ice dancers have to create their own original patterns? Maybe he's getting a head start on that sort of thing! :)
