No More Live Wedgie

It looks like Wedgie is not doing data in real time anymore. So far, they
have waited until the end of a segment before posting the results. Why
did they go back to that I wonder.

they do give live results for pairs now! don't know why not for the other comps? maybe they were still asleep.

A poster on another board emailed WIGE to find out why there were no live updates, and they blamed the internet connection with China.

But I had noticed the live updating was uneven at SA and SC, nowhere near as good as it had been even two years ago. Technology has advanced a lot in two years, so why is WIGE getting worse instead of better?

I got up early on Thursday to follow the live results. I am glad I didn't do that this morning and don't plan to do it tomorrow, either. It's horrible to get up in the wee hours of the morning and find it was all for naught.

Results are now provided by Swiss Timing.
Might indeed have been a connection problem with China because for the Free Dance results were live as well.

WIGE used to be the company that provided the results pages on isu.org, but now that role has been taken over by Swiss Timing as that company has taken over WIGE data.
