I think one of the reasons why she deleted all of her old pictures was how noticeably photoshopped they were. I think she’s doing a bit better instagram wise, but it makes me sad that she seems to be so insecure about her physical appearance. There’s nothing wrong with having some muscles!

Body image is a life long struggle. There will be ups and downs. At TCC they know about her continued fight about diet and body. Hopefully she continues to use the services offered there. I'd like to think that Lee and Brian would not let her compete if there was a regression with eating unhealthily. Other than that, we can only support her. Bullying and the constant barrage of media regarding thinness = more attractive and fit makes it even harder to deal with these issues.

Personally I don't think she is unhealthy physically or that she's dieting in a wrong way ecc ecc. I think that she has a really healthy, athletic body but that she still seems to struggle with her body image, hence the exaggerated photoshopping, both to her body and to her face (fake makeup\eye-color).

I really hope with time she will learn to appreciate herself exactly as she is, because she is beautiful but most importantly she's a great athlete and a strong woman :)
 
I'm frankly surprised no one has commented on the engagement(?) photo -- or wait is that something we're not supposed to discuss?

I only mentioned because it was on her Instastory itself.

I checked not long after you posted that (like within a couple of hours) and it was gone. She's only 20, and he boyfriend is younger - just graduated high school I believe. He's 18. I would be surprised if they were engaged.
 
Any chance the “engagement ring” photo was a repost from the royal wedding? She seemed to follow that on the tweeterz ... just a random guess tho :cool:

It wouldn't be (BY FAR) the craziest - or fastest relationship I've seen, not even for people as young as they are.

I know many successful couples who were married within a year of beginning dating - granted they were older, like my mom and dad who were married after seven months of dating.
 
I saw his first video for his makeup tutorial, I liked it even though I did not understand much because of my poor skills in English lol.

I find her very beautiful without her makeup I hope she becomes aware that she is good as she is.

I look forward to pics/videos of them someday as rinkmates! Who knows if Jason will use his persuasive abilities to do a dance video with Team Cricket folks?

More seriously, I'm thrilled to see this. Obviously there will be adjustments, but this is a lovely start.
 
This has been discussed in some of the threads specifically about the Grand Prix, but while I'm disappointed at Kaetlyn skipping the Grand Prix circuit next season, I'm very excited for Gabby. She's had bad luck on the circuit in past years (including two fourth-place finishes in the 2016-17 season, which had to be incredibly frustrating), but she'll likely never have a better chance to not just medal on the Grand Prix but to win SCI than this year: no Kaetlyn, no top-tier Russians (unless they invite Evgenia, but I doubt it), and I suspect the fed will probably try to get Carolina out of the top three seeds. I hope she can seize the moment.
 
Gabby posted a video of practice in combinations (it's set to her old SP music, so I'm not sure if this is an old video or if she's still just using that for background music while she trains).

Anyway, Evgenia posted a favourable comment, so it seems like those two are getting along very well on social media.
 
what is important here is that Gabby is tagging the 3t everywhere... and the 3t is always higher than the first jump

it seems to me that she will no longer use the 3t-3t in the LP... and perhaps even in the SP.

for instance, even if she went for 2a-3t and 3s-3t in the LP... with a 3lz-2t-2t and a 3lz... she would have a higher BV than Kaetlyn and others using the flip and toe as repeated jumps...

however, it looks like she will be using 3lz-3t for both programs...

i am happy because her 3s-2a sequence was costing her a lot of points and it's much harder to do than the IJS reward it for.
 
Gabby should at least keep her 3t-3t in SP. With the new trend on GOE judging she’ll bank huge. Big 3t-3t’s will be the go to at the halfway mark I think. She can do it and why wouldn’t she? It’s been her signature jump....why change now that the rules will reward her better?

but only in the SP...

in the LP her BV is so much lower... but you know.. we don't know yet what 3a is coming ;)

and what if the big 3t off a big 3lz gave her the same kind of GOE? it's all a numbers game :)

from her videos, i loved the 3s-3t... it was fast, flowing and huge... but will that ever be used?
