Wonder where Google got this crazy idea that Alina is 163cm? Do they think she is Jack's beanstalk?

What about a fully backload SP and fully front load FS to give some balance lessons to ISU?![]()

Re-uploaded the image to another hosting site, see it this works now https://cdn1.imggmi.com/uploads/2018/6/7/f9a668e34ec2704de25ff7d1d5177ddc-full.png

Honestly, Alina can be proud of herself! She‘s got the whole skating world so afraid of her, they even come up with a new rule change. I love that she‘s just 16 and has already got one of the biggest rule changes ever named after her. (Even if it‘s still not the official name, I‘m sure people will remember the „Zagitova Rule“ in the future and the little girl in the red tutu who caused it) And it‘s also kind of obvious how they try to make her „less dangerous“ by devaluating the loop jump.
I‘m so excited for her FP! I‘m no particular fan of Phantom of the Opera as a skating music but I‘m hoping for a more lyrical piece. She had two very energetic programs last season, let her show that she can pull off different styles as well. I think you couldn‘t really see it in DQ because it was just so packed with transitions but her spins are gorgeous and she‘s got really beautiful lines and postures. It would be great if she‘d be able to hold her positions longer. My major problem with DQ never was the backloading, it was the fact that everything seemed so rushed (very obvious contradiction to those who said they felt like in thefirst half nothing was happening) and busy. I would actually love to have her get Matilda. She‘d have a character to portray and I think that‘s a step she really needs in order to mature. DQ was fine, it was upbeat, energetic, full of fire and passion and very lively. But she didn‘t really have a story to tell. If she gets Matilda, she‘ll have to really live the story. I think it will greatly help her improve her artistry. She has everything she needs, she just needs some programs who are a bit more grown up (remember that while DQ was very physically demanding, it still technically is a junior program) to show other sides of her skating. It doesn‘t have to be something really melancholic, Zhenya-style like but something a bit more calm would be fine. So, yeah. I‘m favouring Matilda.
I read on her ISU page that one of her favorite skaters is Carolina.
Her coaching team should get her a program like hers.
I feel like she can handle it!
I don't know anything about "Matilda" so I don't have an opinion, but everything else you posted I agree with 100%.
And to those people that were "bored" by the spins and step sequences I say stop with the![]()

Both songs could bring a new way of artistic expression for her, and of course, of development. Maybe one will be the free program, and the other the EX, and then I will be happy
I totally agree. And the same people were like "we want more artistry, we do not care about jumps and all", so that's a little bit contradictory
I've taken that playlist and listened the Matilda song...and I really liked it, I was sure that's what I wanted for Alina. And then I've heard the tango one and now I am undecidedBoth songs could bring a new way of artistic expression for her, and of course, of development. Do you guys think she‘ll get a new EX? I‘m a bit torn on that to be honest. She‘ll have two completely new programs to adjust to, instead of just one like last season. Maybe she‘ll do her SP as her EX program as she already used it sometimes? I wouldn‘t mind, I like the black swan, it‘s very dramatic and suitable for an exhibition, too. But if she gets a new one, I do hope for some tango. She showed she likes to do unusual exhibition programs and while I‘m not that much of a fan of her current EX, I love her to try different styles.
Maybe she'll leave the cats-world and try a dog-Akita-Masaru theme program, the japanese people will love it and the worlds are in japan anyway next year
(*joking
) I would love a tango EX program, and a lyrical free skate. That would be perfect for me
:luv17:Taking into account her growing popularity and number of ice shows she gets invited to, I tend to say yes..she will probably prepare a new EX. Until now her latest EX programs portrayed a type of cat (the pink panther, and the tiger one), and at first I was wondering which type of cat we will see this year. But it will be a year of grow and development, so probably her EX program will be different tooMaybe she'll leave the cats-world and try a dog-Akita-Masaru theme program, the japanese people will love it and the worlds are in japan anyway next year

I‘d also love a lyrical free skate and a tango for the EX. That‘s what I‘m hoping for. Aaargh, come on, Eteri, Alina, Daniil, tell us some news already! Anticipation is killing us here!

We should join forces and send them a letter. Or hope that Eteri (or Daniil) reads GS forum
Lol...good prediction. Guess this guy can see the future..![]()

Free Skate layout suggestion:
3S 2A 2A 2Lz+2Lo | 3Lz+3T+3Lo 3Lz+3Lo 3F
The difference between doing two 3Lo and two 3F has widened this season by .2 points to .4 points total... but switching out the 2T for a 2Lz gains .8 points. The point advantage of switching the 2T to 2Lz is about the exact same as doing the combination as the final element in the SP verses someone doing the double axel. TBH, i'm not really a fan of the aesthetics of the 3F+2T+2Lo. I do kind of wonder what doing 2Lz+2Lo on purpose would do for one's muscle memory.
There are some fun things you could do with this kind of jump layout. My favorite idea is to start the beginning like an old school program from the late 70s and then break out the big jumps.Or you could play off the 2Lz+2Lo as a mistake(I'm thinking of a Charlie Chaplin like program here) and then go for a 3Lz+3Lo... though it would look really bad if the 3Lz+3Lo didn't go as planned.
