I was hoping for more pics of Masaru too!
BTW - does anyone know where Masaru is staying while Alina is at this training camp?

I really like this. Thank you.
First - it shows how much she progressed from juniors to seniors.
Second - I really appreciate how she moves from the triple flip into the double toe. (I don't think "move" is the correct term but you know what I mean)
This was the element I usually took for granted during competitions as I was usually focused on her first two jumping passes.
I also liked when she changed the 3lz-3lo to the 3lz-3t in her "tiger" exhibition - there is a nice "rhythm" from the first to the second jump.

I don’t think it is her drawing, it is signed by someone else.
Maybe she did post it because she liked the drawing and, of course, was a fan of Yulia.

This shows why I always disagreed when Johnny Weir said her jumps didn't have the distance of some others.
Look at the distance on the 3lz. BTW I don't recall seeing any skater having a lot of distance on the 3lo part of a combo. And that includes Irina Slutskaya who had HUGE jumps. Well - if I had to guess maybe Midori Ito if she ever did a loop combo - but then if we start comparing to Midori Ito no one stands a chance

The small picture inset showing her in DQ costume with Eteri tells me this is from some practice before a competition (when she was already 15 but before the Olympics).
From what Alina does in practice it’s clear to me that she can get more distance and more height in most of her jumps. In competition, because she did them all close together, she basically had to boom-boom-boom them out. They still looked great to me but with more time (and less crunch) I’m sure they’ll look even better.

I didn't comment on that on other threads, but also have the feeling that she will not do the Cup of Russia. And actually I would like her to do other GPs. With most preferable one of the north Americans.
