For me, it was the most powerful and meaningful of all Zhenya's programs, right in the middle of the bacchanalia in WADA, and definitely the best among her exhibitions.
I loved emo!Zhenya too, to be honest

By the way.. if we discussing EXs, i have to say that recent Medvedeva's EX (Cuckoo) is probably the worst i've ever seen. Her EX from Worlds 2017 was way better.
I am not sure...
The program she choreographed itself was literally screaming Averbukh, both in choreo and in music choice. I suppose that if she wanted something different, she could have easily gone for it.
Evgenia and Anna Shcherbakova were added to the cast of Dreams on Ice (July 6-8).

Anna getting that early Japanese show exposure!

Yes. I don't like it. Almost any of other her EXs was better. May be that's because i've watched the movie where it was more appropriate, idk.
There was another tinny Z-skater with the same music. Her costume was in army-green colour, maybe you'll enjoy it better. Unfortunately, I can't find a link :handw:
The one with the feather pen / letter writing getting such good feedback is kind of puzzling to me. I thought that it had more miming than any of Averbukh's programs and to be honest, was very boring. It's my least favorite ex by her. Either my taste doesn't align with the masses or people are too excited with her coach change and projecting it into their opinions on her exhibitions. Yeah, her own choreo but it really wasn't great. I thought that the EX after Europeans was very good, as was the 2017 worlds one and these are probably my top two exhibitions by her.
I was not excited with her new EX either, and also didnt get why people are so OMG MY GOD about it.
My guess is that people were more axcited about the coach change than the actual ex.

"Я сейчас на первом курсе, учусь на тренера."
So Zhenya is on her first year, studying to be a coach.
What will happen to her studies if she moved to Canada (because her plan is to stay there for 4 years or so, until next Olympics?
I am confused.

And in the end that raised fist, screaming: "I will fight in Pyeongchang!". :clapper:But I agree, the Europeans EX was even better. I don‘t understand a single line of the lyrics but again you can see what she‘s feeling. She shows everything there, lets it all go, all the frustration of losing for the first time, having her winning streak stopped by Alina...

She hasn't disappeared. She just didn't make the team just like everybody else not named Zagitova, Sotskova, Medvedeva or Konstantinova. She just did the "Denis and Friends" show in Kazakhstan a few days ago (and was the only Russian single skater there!):Yep, that‘s her spirit! And she did fight bravely!
Honestly, I just can‘t wait for the season to start. They‘re killing us with anticipation. And another thing: Do you guys think that it will ever be possible again for Elena to go to any major events? I used to love her but now she‘s pretty much disappeared. I know she‘s jump issues and everything...
She disappeared, didn’t she? Yes, I imagine that placing 3rd and 4th at GP events makes you invisible. You suddenly disappear! Unfortunately, the only one competition (and the most important one- the Russian nationals) she messed up and placed only 10th, and that’s why she is only on the reserve team and not on the main team, but saying that she disappeared, how dramatic this is! And you called yourself her fan, did you?Yep, that‘s her spirit! And she did fight bravely!

Regarding major events, lets hope she can make it! She's one of the very few who never bombed at competition, which can't be said even of Zagitova who fell 3 times in her last LP.
Yes, I am her fan. And no, a bronze medal isn‘t bad, I never said that. But yet, a few years ago people talked of her as if she was going to be the Olympic Champion. I‘m just worried about her because she has had growth issues and we all know pretty well how fast you get ruled out in Russia. I was just asking from those who might have seen her at shows how her jumps look like, whether she can get back to her old form or not. Because, yes, I really wish for her to do that. But I just don‘t know whether it will be possible. And just saying, in any other country placing 3rd and 4th at the GP wouldn‘t be bad. But in Russia with so many new young skaters turning up every year? Maybe disappeared was the wrong word. I just remember that a few years ago she battled with Zhenya for Golds so to me it seemed like that. Sorry if it offended anyone...
