And Kostner + Machida is sooooooo Ravenclaw.

I never took the time to read the books (though I might need to now, lol) , but I found the links that described the houses helpful and I agree that Jason fits the Hufflepuff description pretty well! I am curious about the one person that put him in the Slytherin -- He is pretty ambitious, but I don't know about the rest.

I admire the creativity and effort put towards this game and look forward to seeing how it unfolds!

I thought about it but I didn't want it to be super messy\really long to count votes. Hopefully the end result will reflect the general sentiment...

On a sidenote - I see some of the Eteri Juniors have been added! To make things as simple as possible, I am assigning Junior GPs and Worlds exactly half the points of their senior counterparts.

interesting concept except for nationals.. i am with ziotic here... turned off because it gives extra weight to some skaters just because of their citizenship which in my opinion defeats some of the light hearted spirit of the game.... too bad as i was ready to put down yuzu as slytherin ... which would have pleased you

Also skaters from Russia/Japan/USA are given an unfair advantage since you are scoring their nations higher.

I get why, as they are thought to be the most challenging, but it sorta skews the playing field for their houses.

While not al skaters will get GP you can argue that the ones who do get them are based on merit, your nationals has to do with where you were born so there is no way for a skater to earn their right at those nationals if they don’t come from that country.

So I was just putting in my picks. Did the women, went back to the men... and it was totally different, lots deleted, skater’s suddenly had wracked up more points in totally different houses.

Google sheets save updates automatically so it didn’t revert to an old edition, which means this must have been deliberate vandalism. Maybe someone should keep track of edits to make sure it doesn’t happen/we can restore if it does?

People should probably go revote for their favorites: Hanyu just lost about fifteen Slytherin votes.

We could perhaps make an online poll, so at least other people’s votes can’t be deleted?

Wow yeah someone is definitely messing with the votes... Yuzu had about 20 Slytherin votes and he now has two?

I supposed we should leave our votes in the comments then, and I will count them?

In my experience with these kinds of spreadsheets it is very easy if you don't double click the box to accidentally delete all the data in it and likewise, google sheets autocompletes so if you don't pay attention you can end up adding once again.

I was just on there trying to vote one x per skater, and I think I saw someone else on there, adding tons of x's for some skaters, and deleting others? Including some votes I just made? I think we might need to do a poll on the forums with four choices per skater and only one vote each or somesuch to have any chance of making this work.

Also, I agree with the comments that nationals should be weighted evenly or not included.

I don’t know how polls work here, so I’m thinking each of us can write the names of the skaters we want to vote for with the house next to the name and I can collect it.

As for nationals, I don’t see how we an compare Carolina winning italian Nats to a lady winning the Russian championships... the depth is simply not the same

Folks, google has a great feature, which is google forms.
It is a nice "poll" thingy, that people answer, and the results are fed into a special google sheet, where we can later retrieve them.

Sure that would be great! I can substitute the link in the main post at the beginning of the thread I didn’t know such a thing existed!
