Boyang Jin

I read somewhere he was supposedly spotted in Harbin not too long ago, by Chinese fans, but I have no idea how true that is. I really wished we could get some updates of any form soon "xD

Isn't the Chinese fed supposed to update by June 30 (IIRC)? Maybe he'll do it then, too.

Update about coaching changes?
The fed officially announced this morning (well the national team's weibo) that Fang Shuai and Chen Yudong are under long term training with Raf.

A full team update, I think. There's Xiagning Li trying Pairs which hasn't been officially announced either, AFAIK.

Someone on the baidu bars just posted a picture apparently taken today of Boyang in Harbin.
The Chinese fans are now assuming that he has chosen to stay with his old coaches.
However, the list of national team members and their coaches are suppose to be posted today.
So we will soon know.

My heart.... 😥😥😥
Today is not a good day. First Beijing Club League and now these conclusions about Boyang.

I legitimately doubt the CSA would have let Orser announce what he did if there weren't some sort of confirmation beforehand from Boyang and his coaches.

That's true. However, I'm not trusting anything CSA does at the moment. Besides, even if there was confirmation beforehand, what if something happened?

He has an ice show in Japan coming up soon. He already got his programs. He might train in Harbin with his coaches, go to Japan for the ice shows, and then to Canada. Gives him time with family and friends too. But really, none of our business to know or speculate about what might or might not have happened based off a photo taken randomly. He'll tell us, or the CSA will announce it before he does.

Very calming voice of reason Chopin. 👌
Maybe I do need to take a breather from figureskating. 😂

Thanks for the voice of reason.

Apparently Boyang was spotted practicing at a rink in Qingdao and the fan said they heard he would be training there for a month, unless Google Translate let me down... https://weibo.com/3668889461/Go5WQBc8Z

Hmm... I haven't had any doubts about Boyang going to Orser, until I read your post. If he is going to TCC, when would he be making the move? Maybe it's just me, but August sounds a little late to get used to an entirely new training environment (not to mention a new language).

His first GP is in November, so he could do a later Senior B if he wanted to. That would give him 2-3 months to train in a new environment.

For some reason, this reminds me of when BOrser said something about Javi being super lazy, and coming to TCC a month after his supposed arrival date

I wouldn't worry, honestly. If BOrser confirmed it, then there shouldn't be an issue- he's a very careful person.

Edit; Completely unrelated, but that reminds me. I saw someone on the public bus today that looked like Boyang's doppelganger. The hair, face, height, everything. I was tempted to go up to him and ask, but I'm from 杭州, and I didn't hear anything about him being there.

Hi guys, just to explain some stuff. There's a lot of promotional things going on with Team China leading up to Beijing 2022, and everyone, even ones we thought retired (like Li Zijun even) are getting involved.

The ice rink poster that you guys mentioned, has a summer camp training event where skaters get to skate with Boyang and Zhang He. Unless I'm mistaken, Zhang He is confirmed with Raf for the long term right? If so, maybe we shouldn't read too much into it.

Also, this off season is *weird*. For example, when Boyang moves to TCC, Brian isn't there for most of the month. Yet when Brian is back in July, Boyang has committments to this rink to train young skaters, plus an ice show. So it is possible we won't hear anything for a long while, maybe August is the earliest we'll see the two together. And Boyang's first event isn't even till Nov (Finland), and even if he does Senior B's, it's still at end of September. He's also got his choreography done, so he might not need that much time. I'd just sit still and wait until something more concrete comes out.

Thanks for the update guys! 😊
I do hope the Chinese Fed would put out an official announcement of what's going on. Here's to hoping that they do or Boyang leaks something on his insta story😀

Boyang has no obligation to tell us what his plan is IMO, and I don't like the idea of pushing him to update his Insta.

I think you like to think negatively of all my posts. I KNOW he has no obligation to post an update. I'm not BEGGING or PUSHING him to post an update.
Simply hoping. My sincerest apologies for offending you.
