Denis Ten

I can't believe that instead of his new programs his OP is updated with his death date now. I just can't believe it. I totally share the sentiment of Alexei Yagudin. I really don't have much Christian feelings for his murderers.

Denis, wherever you are, I hope you're happy, because that's what you deserve. :pray:

Holy... Alex got really emotional talking about him, you can see his red eyes... And Maia, she actually had to wipe a tear...

I have to admit myself, I finally got defeated by my emotions moments ago and started crying. I feel like a idiot right now, since I never knew Denis personally, only from TV and social media, yet I am crying and feeling depressed... I hate this. I wish this would never happen. Never. This is never going to be alright. Nothing will ever fix this and I can't handle this thought.

Just had a premonition, I have not checked all of your comments so might have been raised but was wondering if the criminals/murderers knew who they were dealing with, sorry if I m wrong but there were other cars there right ...that were not targeted so why D10,I noticed Also his car was a Lexus am I right, those cars don’t come cheap...so was wondering whether they targeted D10 car for that reason....obviously this was planned....

They were planning on robbing car parts, and yes Denis´car is a Lexus. But I don´t think they would go after a high profile target on purpose, as it looks like Denis was really popular in his country... I read (don´t remember if here or in twitter) that the zone it´s a high end and fairly safe place in the city, so probably lot´s of car like that were parked... sadly it was terrible luck to have Denis run into the criminals... a very tragic turn of destiny.

yep, my guess is that they just tagged an expensive car.
Going for a well known person to rob car parts is not a good idea, since those cases usually get a lot of attention, increasing chances of getting caught. Kinda makes more sense that they just picked an expensive car without knowing who was the owner.

Tatjana Flade asked organizers of Rostelcom Cup and Nebelhorn Trophy to arrange for a minute of silence in memory of Denis and they are likely to agree.
 
hope they don't come up with something like keeping his spot unused though.
From what i read about Denis, he would prefer to some skater have a GP experience, rather than keeping the spots unused.

The suspects they caught said they did not know whose car it was.

Now that you mention it, I just remember Denis never was in GPF, was he?
 
It's been more than a day since I learned of this, and I'm still the same mess I was yesterday, reading posts about Denis with a lump in my throat, tears springing up in my eyes and wiping my nose every now and then. My thoughts keep returning to it and I cannot enjoy watching any FS videos yet. The only thing that made me feel better were Misha Ge's words on the internet, apparently he's planning various things to commemorate Denis, and has already set things in motion. Fingers crossed they work out. But it's a small relief. I intend to go to the Kazakhstan embassy to express my condolences if I can.
I dearly hope Denis is able to watch everything from the great rink in heaven, healed from his injuries and pain, in the company of all the late skating greats. :ghug:

Had I never encountered Denis Ten's skating, "Yuri!!!" would not be what it is today.
Denis's skating was truly one of a kind and he has gifted us with so much inspiration.

I haven 't read all the comments, but wondering if he had just let them take the car mirrors and not fought back, but then he didn't know they were armed with knives. These 2 deserve the death penalty. Denis' death was totally absolutely senseless and shocking!

Is normal instinct to protect what is yours. I have heard many times people say I will just hand over my phone/ my car/ my wallet and not fight, but until you are in the situation you really don´t know how you gonna react. I told in here before, I tried to bargain with a thief that was robbing me of my laptop to let me download information while he was pointing at me with a gun... pretty stupid from me, and I was pretty lucky that he didn´t kill me right there... you just don´t know how you gonna react... and sadly Denis didn´t have the same luck I had.
