Nathan Chen

Guess Nathan is not the first to do a program to Land of All!

Woodkid/Yoann Lemoine directed Taylor Swift's Back to December music video - I used to LOVE :)

I didn't watch the webcams tonight :(

But kinda funny I was getting excited about NEW COSTUMES and it's just like a plain blue shirt and a vest over the same white button down :)

the opening cello (synthetic?) reminds me TV series Grimm's ending theme.

I like the metal tube sound throughout the song, the final faster tempo part, reminds a bit of machine guns.

Neofolk, also known as post-folk, apocalyptic folk or dark folk, is a music genre that emerged in the mid-1980s as an outgrowth of post-punk and post-industrial music, blending acoustic instruments such as guitar and snare drum with elements of industrial music.[1] Neofolk may either be solely acoustic or combine acoustic folk instrumentation with various other sounds.[2]

The SP is with a vest and the white shirt didn’t look oversized. He said part of the FP song inspiration was from Jeremy’s exhibition from years ago. I don’t want Nathan duplicate another’s style/charisma and personally I love his version as well.

Thank you Mamamiia for sharing the videos.

I don't think we've seen good enough photos to know what his new LP top looks like. I agree with yyyskate about the SP outfit.

Yes, I knew Gabriella and Guillaume were first to use Woodkid. Didn't know about Jeremy. But if Nathan is inspired by Jeremy, then I applaud his choice of role models from the bottom of my heart. Can he add Denis and Daisuke Takahashi too, please?

Anyway, given my fierce preference for music that's traditional and classical, I think he did a good job selling me on this music, overcoming my resistance to another season of music that won't give him a PCS push.

Yes but they (P/C) used totally different pieces.

The movie Desierto is quite violent ...

I just wanted to drop in to say I stan Nathan's music taste. Doing post-Olympic season right for sure!

hhh - are you chatting with Nathan :)

Nathan's program looks kinda inspired by Jeremy's ? (not just the music choice)

Haha I decided not to watch Abbott's version cause I only want to see Nathan's and get my first impression from him!

don't worry, they are different.

Nathan's, exactly feels like this song.

contemporary lyrical gradually builds to the end hiphop?funk? dance wise.

The choreo is very similar which freaks me out and kind of disappoints me with the choreographer. We'll see as it develops. I love Nathan and believe he can make it his own, at least I hope so.
