He watched the video of Yuzu over and over again and practiced.

:rofl2: I wonder whether it's the director's idea or his own idea to incorporate that move.

I guess it's time to revisit this everyone can't stop staring at Yuzu (front and back) moment:biggrin:

Some kind soul even made a video in slow motion so we can tell what happened in those seconds. The woman was the first one to react, then stephane checked yuzu out from top to bottom then back to the middle. And Dani from behind, even leaning forward to get a better view.

OMG you made my day :laugh2::rofl: Didn't know these clips yet. Priceless.

Turning back the clock 32,064 hours... That equals nearly a full Olympic cycle... remember what happened that day?
---> Incredible, but it was Yuzu's last off-podium finish. From then on he was dealing with Gold or Silver only :drama:

I'd say there were quite a few dry mouths at that minute....

It's been a while since I last saw this interview, we can tell he was so frustrated and kuyashii at himself. He said everyone would think this result was due to his injury, but it was not, it was because of his lack of ability. I remember I was like at that time, "Come on, you are injured!" And there was really great moment in that interview the audience realized Yuzuru was able to qualify for GPF :)

That is one thing about Yuzu, he never made any excuses - even impeccably, perfectly justfied ones! - when he didn't do as well as he expected of himself. Always takes responsibility and says he'll try harder - sometimes I do wish he would be a little easier on himself, but you have to admire it.

https://twitter.com/nanaironopadoru/status/1021667204809469952 Another surprise message of encouragement from Yuzu to students of Kessenuma Highschool, who will depart soon to their new school. --The students had been studying in a temporary school in Miyagi prefecture that had been set up after the 2011 disaster.

It is the report on "every", which makes me think more and more Yuzuru will be skating in 24hrs TV. I'm not saying he should come back to Japan only for that TV program, but this year Yuzuru might be hoping to skate for the victims and people in western Japan who have still been in the serious condition because of the flooding, JMHO. (It's really fine if he doesn't participate, his priority should be figure skating:)).

This is so cool! Hope & legacy was used for a firework show. More importantly, blue, green and gold were the main color used :hap10:
Anyone knows what kind of event was this?

At this year's firework festival, there'll be a Seimei one:hap10: It'll start at 19:55 pm, 8/11. Hopefully someone will record it.:)

Introduction translated by google: "Water, green and poetry city Maebashi" is imaged with "SEIMEI" songs and fireworks. Representing the Maebashi that continues to challenge the good old Maebashi, creating a new era, grandly and fantastically!

Could he do a record performance in Canada? I’m sure if he doesn’t participate is not for not having interest

Another weekend, another FOI broadcast.... the skating gods have been very generous this off-season :yay:

https://twitter.com/olympicchannel/status/1023134978404536320 The olympic channel is posting strange Yuzu articles again.
"Bears not Beers" :palmf:

"Look out for a quintuple jump, and for a dramatic tilt at three-golds-in-a-row at Beijing 2022."
They do not push Yuzu at all xD Seriously, I don't know how to think about this...

I really respect Yuzu for not making any excuses, no matter the conditions and circumstances. He always looks for the fault in himself and wants to work harder. That's character.

I think he can do it absolutely :)

Maybe off topic but seeing some protocols of a competition in Canada, I have already lost good expectation in judging in terms of GOE. I might be too early to think that way, but it is just...I don't know how to explain :sarcasm: I guess I will have to watch some more competitions to give up or not. I wonder if Yuzuru is watching those videos to do research on it, Brian and Briand were at the venue at least

I saw it too. There was an element got +3 and -3 from different judges  I actually wondered whether it was a typo:laugh:
