Midnight practice!

Do they even have time to train with Raf - or is he there for filming with Marin/interviews

That does look like a family picture.

Sheetz, can you explain what the diploma is for? Thanks.

I'm wondering too if Raf is there?

No clue. It looked like they were taking some kind of class on fan throwing? LOL

There's a short interview from Kiss & Cry
http://www.tvguide.or.jp/feature/kissandcry/20180731/01.html
Highlights:
--He performed Land of All, and there are still parts he can't do but he's satisfied with his performance.
--MFD choreographed the program but he chose the music. The movie it's from, Desierto, has emigration as one of its themes and he's glad to be able to portray that in his program.
--About the new rules, he says maybe it's telling him "to not be too hard on himself." (Not exactly sure about this translation.)
--He's a little worried about living alone at Yale, but the diet portion is being taken care of so he's not concerned about that. He says he's happy to hear that Yale has a rink on campus.

Apparently the group finished the Kyoto cultural tour and was thus awarded certificates of completion.
Also, the fan tossing game is called tosenkyo, and the object is to knock the "butterfly" off the stand.

The things you learn by reading Nathan fan blogs...

The blogger said she's learned things about Japan from following Nathan, so we all are learning. :)

Did you notice her comment that Nathan wasn't sitting correctly? His form left much to be desired, considering that he probably wanted to look 'cool' in front of Alina, LOL.

I feel for him. It's difficult for non-Japanese to sit that way, and even for Japanese people it can take some practice because your legs can fall asleep. There is a secret weapon certain people carry with them to make sure they can sit properly for ceremonies and such, but I guess Nathan won't need that unless he actually lives in Japan at some point. :)

*serious question*
Has anyone seen pix of Nathan's Mom in Japan? Or is he traveling on his own now--unless you consider Raf his 'guardian' for this trip?

I don't think Nathan's mom is there?

I think if Nathan is traveling with his mom - less instagram posts/stories from him. Like we hardly saw Nathan at all when he was at Heroes and Future - outside of the fans taking photos of him (and his mom) at the train station.

It's actually the first thing I noticed, hope it has nothing to do with his past injuries.:slink:

She was just there not long ago so maybe she didn't feel like going again? Was she at Sun Valley?
No don't think his mom went to Sun Valley with him.
