Signature moves skaters are known for

Matt Savoie - who was doing intricate transitions into jumps before they became popular!

Yes, his transitions into jumps were wonderful. I always thought he was overlooked. I loved watching him skate.

Sasha Cohen : I-Spin, Charllote spiral, expression
Mao Asada : Arabesque spiral , Footwork.
Yulia Lipnitskaya : hyper-Biellmann I think we should stop calling that movement of Yulia "Biellmann", can we call this Lipi or some? ///(I didn't want to mention her I-spin, because I think Sasha patented it before hahaha, but there's no one else to do that hyper-biellmann, except Alisa Lozko, I think)

Adelina Sotnikova : This spin , 2A spirals entries

Yagudin: Footwork
Plushenko : Footwork + facial expressions

Yuzuru Hanyu : Donut-spin with arms down , Hydroblade

Elena Radionova : Biellmann position with the back very flexed backwards and its long extended leg, is beautiful.
Evgenia Medvedeva: Spiral cross grab that she use like conection, expression

Nothing mean spirited.. just taking a different direction and seeing what comes to mind: :dev2:

Shoma Uno: super dangerous looking landings
Yuna Kim: "Point your toe, dear" - Dick Button
Tonya Harding: stop. point to shoelace.
Ashley Wagner: UR, 2-foot (see also: Mao)
Satoko Miyahara:

Yeah, and so can Kamila Valieva and Daria Usacheva. Anna Shcherbakova comes close too.

It’s still Yulia’s Move though. Id say she is the one who popularized it. Her spins got a lot of worldwide media attention after all

I mean..Yulia can do the Pretzel spin but that is Courtney Hicks signature move ......Ironically in Sasha Cohen’s dress and music

I nominate Courtney Hicks for her Pretzel Spin :yay:

Yulia hyper-extended her I-spin and brought her leg more to the parallel to her body or sometimes even behind her body and her foot pointing behind her head, whereas Sasha angled her leg out and used the toe of her blade to bring her boot facing towards her face and her leg was facing more of a front direction

Harder or less hard?

My guess would be a little less difficult because of the half-loop in between, but hopefully someone with the technical savvy will let us know for sure.

In any case, it is very impressive indeed - I wish I had seen him do it!

I remember Tiffany Chin had a spin which involved moving her hands while spinning. It was really cool to watch. I don't recall anyone else doing it or maybe they do but it's called something else??
