As well due to the fact that Zhenya already has a sponsorship with Pantene she may be not contractually allowed to sign with this company which is also a makeup company so even if they wanted her they wouldn’t be able to sign her unlike Alina

Any guesses for who will get challenger events?
I think Gubanova, Sakhanovich, Tarusina, and Samodurova will get two, and all the GP skaters will have the option of 1 to them. If they all take it, there's probably around 6-8 spots left. Mikahilova will probably then get 2, alongside Nugumanova and Gulyakova. Leonova could also get a couple.

definitely Gubanova, Guliakova and Tarusina. They give challenger to JGP skater who already senior eligible last season. Sima for sure since she got no GP. Nugumanova and Leonova maybe, even tho they arent national team list but if there are many spot left why not? last season some unknown senior got challenger, Gracheva or what i dont remember her name well

Is this really necessary? Nobody is obliged to like Eteri nor her skaters. As long as she‘s not hated on, every opinion should be tolerated. I see no problem in liking other skaters more and in no way was SkySkater‘s comment hateful or spiteful towards Eteri. On the contrary, it‘s you who‘s inventing a problem where there is none. And Zhenya certainly wasn‘t ”instantly loved“ by all Russians. If you had read even in this forum you‘d have seen that many of them feel like she‘s a traitor to their country or sth. Not everything has to do with Eteri. I don‘t support hate but I also don‘t support senseless accusations. And now, let‘s please leave this topic behind and talk about something else.

I do hope Sima gets challenger events and does well there. Maybe she can land on the podium, that would be very good for her and for the fed to see that she‘s making improvements and that they shouldn‘t count her out. I would certainly be very happy for her! :)

of course they love her more, because she never sought their love and did not invent a love for comics books. The Japanese feel it. Nature is always better

Good joke :laugh: Medvedeva‘s Sailor Moon exhibition was one of the most watched videos on YT before it was taken down because of copyright issues. Both the creator of Yuri on Ice and Sailor Moon have admiration for her and would be very insulted if you called their work “comic books“. They are called anime. Manga is probably what you mean, they are similar to comic books but I‘m not even sure whether Evgenia is into this? Japanese love her. But if it makes you happy to think that she only ”invented“ her love for their culture... then, very well, do it. People in Japan wouldn‘t agree with you but we are allowed to dream, right? ;)
 
I think it is better to congratulate Alina for such a great achievement, it rare to see figure skaters get such huge brand deals. Please dont drag Evgenia into it. We don’t need another war. It’s toxic enough as it is.

Agree! It might be a amazing opportunity to make figure skating more popular. Alina is a beautiful young woman and a great role model so she‘s the perfect choice for this. :)
 
Congratulations Alina on landing such a great deal with a great brand! Good luck with her campaign, I'm sure she'll be wonderful, and it's great for figure skating when skaters get attention outside of the sport like this :)
 
Sooo... Dasha switched to Anna Tsareva??

I don’t really know if that’s the best choice... especially seeing how Tsareva treats Pogo.

I don't like it either if it's true but she might not have had any other choice. Tsareva also trains at Sambo70 and the fed might not have allowed her to switch to somebody else due to her change being outside of the transfer window. We should give Tsareva a chance, though, she might have learned from her mistakes with Anna P. But still... I can't help but not be happy about this at all. It's her choice of course but I feel like from Eteri to Tsareva is a step down in every possible way. Tsareva isn't "nicer" than Eteri AND the results she gets with her skaters are worse. So... I'm sceptical. Very sceptical. But of course I hope Dasha can prove me wrong and has an amazing season.
