Kaetlyn Osmond

I don't know if she's getting choreo too, but she's doing media for the Thank You Canada Tour today in Toronto.

Thanks CG! A figure skating legend and a new World Champion. How cute are they together!

I like what Elvis said about taking their time and skating to programs that they have assisted in designing, in a much more collaborative effort than other shows.

Can't wait to see them in person!

My favorite part was when the interviewer asked Kaetlyn if she grew up watching Elvis and she said her Mom did!

Generational turnover in skating happens a lot faster than the interviewer imagined, since Kaetlyn was born smack dab in the middle of the prime of Elvis’ competitive career, and she’d have been about six at the time of his retirement after Salt Lake City.

I think it's less to do with quicker generational turnover and more to do with the older we get, the less we're able to keep up with time's passing (and good lord is that the truth!)

Since we're already throwing things back to SOI earlier this year, why not go back a little further? ;)

My two fave Kaetlyn Kiss and Cry reactions:

2017 World's LP

2016 Skate Canada SP

There have been lots of other great Kiss and Cry moments for Kaetlyn (lucky us!) but she's just so utterly, unreservedly happy at these two moments and I love it! After the injury and tough season back, I think her 2016/17 results must have brought an extra helping of unabashed delight and it was wonderful then and wonderful now to look back on! :luv17:

Thanks for sharing you two! Kaetlyn is always so gracious in the Kiss and Cry. As was mentioned before, even when she didn't have the best skate at SC2015 FS (coming back from injury), she smiled, acknowledged the fans that were there to see her and told Ravi, it can only get better. And it did! Not a K&C reaction but one with happy teary eyes from a proud Ravi and uncontrollable giggles from KO: https://youtu.be/NWel_W4QnX4?t=3369

^ I'm calling you O24G now as good luck for Kaetlyn to win her second World gold at the age of 24, the Canadian audience singing the national anthem :).

^^ So Bill, that would be in Montreal in 2020, a city she once lived in as a novice & junior skater and was coached by Josée Picard & co. How apropos!

O24G in 2020 I say!
