Wow so will she meet with Eteri as well? How does this test skate work? Costume reveals too? Will the camera record it?

The test skate for the SP is closed to the public so I don‘t know whether there will be any recordings. The FS is open so there will be some fan-videos, I guess. They are doing it in their training clothes so no costume reveals. Eteri will be there, too with Alina. All senior skaters should go there if they are healthy enough or don‘t have any other problems that prevent them from coming. It‘s to determine who is ready for the new season, show the new programs and get feedback on them from the officials of rusfed.

My god. Eteri and Alina will watch the whole thing. And vice versa. I love the tension. Dying to see both their FS with fan cams.. So sad that SPs are not allowed to be filmed though. Why SPs?

I'm relatively sure there will be fancams of the SPs as well. There are people who are going to try and see if they can get in and chances are good that they will.

But this really is super exciting considering everything that's happened in the off-season.

And I agree, she looks younger. But it suits her, it makes her look more relaxed, too and happier!

They look to be in great shape after that trip. 9 hours from Toronto to Frankfurt, and another 3 hours flight to Moscow.

Wow so nice that Brian and David went with her - but I guess that is part of their job too! Looks like she has good support there. Also for Brian and David a new experience being in Russia with a student as I am taking this is there first major senior student. Can't wait!

Yes! Rusfed will give feedback and suggestions to them That's why DW is also there, since he is the choreographer!

Wow just logged in and seen all these awesome pictures and info! Test skates are so close now! Seeing her with Brian, David and the team is amazing. I haven‘t heard of this but ultimately it doesn‘t matter. They will be at the open part with the FS and we‘ll see their programs. Alina already showed her SP at a Japanese show, maybe she isn‘t required to do it again. It‘s got nothing to do with Zhenya of course, as she‘ll be there and hopefully rock that jazz SP of hers!

I’ve noticed that in casual photos, Zhenya always looks much younger than her actual age. If I saw her walking around town, I’d guess that she looks like a 15-16 year old.

I guess if we see her with full make-up and fancy dresses for her skating compared to an all natural look it gives this impression. And especially the bangs make her look younger. But I think it‘s great and if you look 3 years younger than you actually are... well, you‘ll grow to appreciate it by the time you‘re older.
