Yuzuru left the ice early, I hope his leg is OK

BTW, did you see the entry to the first spin :jaw:

Did he leave early?
I have mistaken him for the last guy to leave the ice.
The camera was so zoomed out so I must have mistaken him for someone else

I love Shae Lyn. She seems like such a lovely and positive person. I can feel her respect, awe and understanding towards Yuzuru and his skating.

So according to PJ, the 4A is huge but not quite there yet (perhaps still ur? Or the % success still low?)

Note: over 3 days of practices, Yuzuru hasn't done *any* eu-3Sal combos, but he *has* done 3 4T3A sequences. Uhhhh

Very underscored. The transitions coming out of that 3A was insane and they literally nuked the GOEs.
So angry about the unfair judgement against Hanyu. He deserves much better than this. [emoji35][emoji35][emoji35][emoji35]

Shaky 4T-3T, too forward on the 3A, unstable spins (Ted Barton and his commentator partner also mentioned the latter). No, he wasn't underscored imo. He will most likely get better as the season progresses.

The 3A was *slightly* forward, not enough to warrant a significant deduction. It was certainly better than Jason Brown's, which was telegraphed halfway across the arena with no transitions in or out, and which was entered with so little speed I was very worried he wouldn't land it. But not according to 3 judges (J1, J4, and J5), who gave Jason equivalent or higher GOE than Yuzuru.

I didn't check how Brown was scored, I was only commenting on how the SP on Thursday was far from perfect and did not warrant scores near to Hanyu's PB. We're early in the season, Hanyu is not an early peaker (thankfully), so I'm positive the program will develop.

Sure, it doesn't warrant a PB but I do think it was underscored, even purely relative to how other people in the same competition were scored (and the scoring at this competition has been quite harsh in general). I would have probably score it 100-101.

I truly love his new SP costume. It's become one of my favorite costumes next to Etude and H&L.

It’s beautiful. Especially the back with the slashes of sparkles all over it.
If he going blue for sp then black and gold for free 🙏

i have managed to resist so far without spoilers from his free, looking forward to finally seeing it here! it sounds wonderful

Shae mentioned "Kojiki (古事記)" in PJ's interview, this is English wiki.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kojiki

We learn it in school, but the mostly only the name of its book and I don't remember the content tbh, maybe this is going to be a chance to learn it again
