Yuzu couldn't chill more than one competition LOL

Can he please always comb his hair back even in every day life? the look is just so OMG :luv17:

Regarding the two costumes - I felt like he took his POTO costume, removed the collar and dyed the white bits gold. Then he plucked the the feathers off his swan costume and meshed it into the Origin top, then dyed the remainder of the swan costume blue and stick on crystals to create the Otonal costume[emoji23] I guess he likes doing variants of similar type of design, just like how H&L costume was a bit of a Etude ver 2.0.
He's the master of rehashing, remixing and revamping his old costumes.. He sticks to a certain style of clothing, but always adds a new edge and flavor to it. I think he has good fashion sense, and a bit or an artistic side. I can imagine him designing costumes in the future, because he has really good taste in what looks good.

I'm just glad he didn't decide to try a plainer version of costume...
Well, for Yuzuru, the white&blue and black&gold is already plainer if compared to Johnny Weir's designs for him.

As long its not 7 sparkling rainbow colours on 1 top or Shoma's shining yellow top I'm fine.
Cant image how Shoma's yellow costume would look on a taller man,Shoma is small sized it didnt look that glaring.

If you were an animal, you would be...

"Cat? I think (laugh). I am selfish, do things at my own pace, well, I really do in my own way so I have to be matured a little more in a way."

What is this sudden question

100% true. You're a Cat, Yuzu.:agree: That's why he wants to win. He's a 7, 7's are there to win, stubborn, selfish, target oriented. They simply cannot live without chasing a target. 4A is a magic unicorn to catch this season but he also wants to gain as many prizes, tools, extra lives, you name it- along the way. Just like he does when playing video games.

Wouldn't he forget how to do biellmann spins if he never puts them in programs for an entire season? It's his signature spin and I don't want him to lose it [emoji24]

He wasn't reported to have a back problem during the Olympics yet he dropped the bielman spin from Seimei so I suspect that move may also put pressure on his ankles, maybe that is why he is avoiding it in competition right now?

I don't think he will forget how to do a biellman spin, but rather he need to stay flexible to do it. He actually has to work to keep the flexibility otherwise man tends to lose it as they grow up. I recall I read somewhere in Hanyu's interview that flexibility and ability to jump don't actually go well together. Having a flexible body makes the jumping less stable. However, he still try to keep his flexibility because its what sets him apart - he needs it to do all those hydroblading, super low sit-spins, bielmann spins and inau bauer that other men can't do. It is a pity these elements don't really have direct marks awarded for them. But I guess it contributes to his popularity - he is an unique skater that blends the power and quads of men skating with the gracefulness and flexibility of female skating, having the best of both worlds.

Honestly, if he has replaced it with that lovely layback, I don't mind. I would pick the layback as the more beautiful of the two.

Though I prefer the SP costume, the LP costume is PERFECT for pencil or charcoal sketches.
The SP costume ought to be water painted, I think.

Lovely drawings, thank you!

The translated interview was so Yuzu... no excuses, no allowances, again a vow to work harder... the team will need to watch over him carefully, I think, or he'll overdo it...

He going to be obsessed with spins for awhile until he gets it perfect. Then move on to combos he missed 😂 he got a whole month until his next competition.

I love that their always extra with their costumes. I don’t want to see boring button down shirts or shirts with just an see through material and calling it a costume. I’m a huge fan of all the lace and sparkles and mesh ❤️

Yeah, I definitely understand why some skaters would choose simpler designs since really intricate costumes like Yuzuru's or Shoma's are quite a financial investment. Not every skater can afford such an expense so I would never hold it against them for choosing more economical options. However, when skaters do choose showtstopping and extra costumes, I am definitely appreciative of their choices. Well thought out costumes adds on to the story, ambiance, and overall experience of a program. Yuzuru's costumes may not always be my cup of tea, but they're always so well thought out and fitting for his programs.

Will Yuzu's ISU World Standing go up now that he won Gold [emoji966]?

Nope he missed too many competitions last season so the gap between him and no.1&2 is too big to cover with just one win at the a CS competition

It's unlikely to get to 1 again this season even if he wins all his competitions.

It’s understandable if finance is the issue for understated costumes or no costume at all. I’m talking more about the skaters who are from big federation and have the means to have nice costume but choose casual clothes to skate in.

After taking some time to rest and sleep, I thought about his comments "I want to win" again...and I was like "wait, you did win.":laugh2:
I am sure he meant both winning the competitions AND overcoming himself.

Hello can someone help what this comicstrip was about?

Not 100% sure, but I remember once Yuzu personified his jumps, you can see 4A there. I think the red jump is the one Yuzu popped...He seems to be annoyed with it or it's annoyed with him, not sure which.

He seems to be lecturing them in the end  They better behave themselves next comp!

Google Translate is horrific with Japanese!

I love the layback. But it's just that he has been doing the biellmann spin all his career and it was his signature move, along with the donut spin, mainly because he was one of the very few men who can do both in the free skate.

Come to think of it, Salchow is being moody at aci2018

Tweet: The result is, he has more dependents?

Yuzu: "Come back!"
Red figure: I want to win
Yellow figure: I want to master (everything I can, etc.)
Text above them: Huh...?

Yuzu: "Don't worry! I'll take care of all of you!"
Brian: Huh...?

(Someone else can do the sound effects if they want. I learned Japanese mostly from books and music and video games, so sound effects are not my strong point.)
