I like the slight head banging, it looks different.
He usually throws in something so the programme will be remembered well.
These are the snippets I remember:
LGC: phoning, high kick and rockstar slide
Seimei: The warrior pose
Chopin: Closed eyes and in a trance ice glide with both arms raised side ways
Origin: Sitting position, soft head bang and dramatic kneeling pose with one leg spread and an arm up
R&J1: The starting arm positions. Hiding half of his face while the other is on top his head. He head banged here too right while sliding?
POTO: Dramatic kneeling pose one arm up and the other touching the ice

So now that the new season has started, I wonder if we will get any product commercials? For like Xylitol or Lotte?

I don't hate his head banging, but that gesture sends a rather weird message to the whole program (please note that I have not fully grasped the imagery and theme of the program yet, although I imagine he want to show his maturity on it (?)).

That head banging is a little bit too emo :slink: and does not really match the rest of the program. But his arm jerk after the head banging is lovely .

Well, he has 5 long weeks :dbana: to smooth things out.

I'll be waiting. :hap85:

I haven't heard of this Yuzuru's comment about LP layout. He says he was planning to do 3F3T after 4T-3A. However, he fell on 4S this time so he was thinking of doing quad-triple somewhere or putting 3T in combo during the performance, but he couldn't.

And I've read in another article he was saying having 4T-3A was going to be regular in the layout through season, so we might have chance to see his 3F again. When was the last time he did 3F3T in the program?

I don’t see the move as head banging, and honestly when it was described as pecking I thought someone was saying there was a rooster sound in the music!

I love this little move, to me, it’s very obviously when the character/being that he’s portraying in the program “wakes up” so to speak. The sound reminds me of a heart beat, I see the movement as someone’s heart being woken up. I wonder if this is Shae’s intent too. I saw the program before I saw her interview with PJ Kwong and given what she said this might be what she was going for.

Sounds interesting. Is he plans to be competitive this season he needs a wide variety of jumps so he can play with the content according to the performance and players field at each competition. Hope this wouldn't affect his recovery too much. He really needs to focus on staying healthy this season.

oh..I did mistake..he did it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1vHflKsyU0&t=3m20s Do you think Yuzu wanted to copy it?

I think his every program this season is full of references and somebody will sooner or later study those and make a video analysis showing their findings. Both programs are tributes to his idols but also friends and skaters who influenced his development as a figure skater. He is quoting their signature moves to say thank you, not copying them.

So the "pecking rooster" is the head bang? I love that move it smh show the rocker side of Yuzuru

I don't think I remember him ever putting a combo on his 3F because of its location in all his layouts (third jump pass) and his previous edge issues. He did land a lovely 3F2T out of spreadeagle during practice at ACI.

But with this 4S3T 4T3A 3F2T plan he's basically not doing any 3 jump combo in his layout.

On the "pecking rooster" move, perhaps the beginning with his arms outstretched like a bird, he was trying to imitate something bird like ? maybe a Phoenix, which is a symbol for rebirth, given the program is called "Origin" and his costume have gold and feathers. Given his surname means "born with wings" in Japanese, he has always had an obsession with feathers, wings and bird motifs.

Oh... I have a question... So in case he does 4T3A does it mean he can actually do another three jump combos in FS or not? In theory of course? Or 4T3A being a jump sequence with BV of 0.8 still counts as one of three combos allowed? New rules masters- come and share the depth of your knowledge please!

That's true. I remember watching him during his first Senior seasons and learning about his idols- and I was surprised how versatile Johnny and Evgheni were to me and how he could combine both in the way he wanted to develop as a skater. For the most part I saw a lot of bird moves and postures in his early Senior programs and lots of them resonated with Johnny Weir's style. He was too weak the resemble with Plushenko back then. Later on I saw him growing and getting stronger and upping his game- that's when his other idol came more obvious in him. Then I went and watched some of his Junior skates cause I haven't followed him back then and I noticed that he was fearless when going into jumps, most juniors have this sense of hesitation entering the jumps and he was completely different, he was just chasing jumps and then like "bang! bang!" - and proceed with the rest of his program. That was quite amazing about him.
