ITA. People do work over their differences. I'm sure whatever it was (I don't want to find out--I just want to see them work through it and be civil) they've now worked through. Much as Grischuk and Platov have worked through their drama, and actually reunited for a skating show in Russia!

They're being inducted into the Canadian Skating Hall of Fame on Sunday together.

Their split was not exactly amicable. They weren't even talking and at last year's Canadians it was like there was a restraining order between them - they wouldn't even go near one another.

Perhaps they have worked things out, in light of Shae's personal problems.

Apparently Shae and Nicolai have split up and he is now with Elena Grushina who is pregnant with his child.

This has been reported widely on various skating boards. I have not seen Shae and Nikolai together along the boards at any skating event that I have watched on tv...have they been working together?
I feel for Shae Lyn; not only has her personal life been turned upside down, but her fledgling coaching career was pretty well tied to Nikolai. Best wishes to her. With how positive and perky she has always been, I believe that things will work out for her.

She could come back to Canada and get a job coaching at any club, with her record of experience.

ITA with you lutzskate... I think it would be awesome for her to coach with Brian Orser & Tracy Wilson at the Cricket Club in Toronto.

The last I'd heard about the "baby" is that it isn't Nikolai's, it's actually Elena Grushina's hubby/ex hubby's ?? I don't know, but what a terrible situation. Poor Shae but she is obviously better off without a guy like that for a hubby.
