Let’s rewind to one of Germany’s most memorable ice dance teams from the 90s and early 2000s! 2004 World bronze medalists Winkler & Lohse brought a unique blend of elegance, musicality, and character to the ice.

  • What’s your favorite program of theirs?
  • How do you think their style holds up compared to today’s ice dance teams?
  • Were they ahead of their time in terms of performance or choreography?
  • Where do you rank them among top ice dance teams of their era?
✨ Whether you remember watching them live or are discovering them now, share your favorite performances, moments, or thoughts!

My personal favorite was the "Time goes Millennium" FD from the 1999-2000 season.

Kati & Rene had some great programs, they were very entertaining and had strong skills. It was nice to see them performing at the show at the ISU Adult competition last year for the first time together in many years. They still looked great together. :-) Kati is married and has two daughters, she lives not too far from Oberstdorf. Rene is also married and is coaching in Berlin. His son Linus is a skater and recently tried pair skating. Here's a photo that I took from that performance last summer.
