TSN will be repeating tonight's programming of the pairs' and mens' long programs tonight at 3am Eastern if anyone missed it and wants to set their VCRs or PVRs.

They're also profiling Elizabeth Manley at 5am if anyone's interested.

Who is Elizabeth Manley?

I've seen it before and it's great little documentary. One of the first in the series if I remember right.

Who is Elizabeth Manley?

You must be kidding!!!! Elizabeth Manley is our little Canadian sweetheart who stole the show at the Calgary Olympics in 1988 from the battle of the Carmens between Debbie Thomas and Katarina Witt. No one expected little Liz to even make the podium. Her performance was actually better than Witts. Anyway Elizabeth made history that night and stole everyone's heart. The rest is history.

And if Debbie hadn't had the meltdown that she did in the LP that night, but skated the way everyone knew she could and finished above Kat, but below Liz in the LP, there would have been a very different Olympic Champion and Canada would have more than one Olympic title in singles skating.

At least that's what I've heard over the years and also read in a couple of articles, so...Someone feel free to correct that if I'm wrong. :)

What you say is very true, although Witt didn't skate that well either. Liz was amazing that night.
