Wakaba Higuchi

I just saw the results of the regional Tokyo and Wakaba's SP score is still low although she gained 2 points more than at ACI, is it because during the summer she reworked all her jumps?
may be growth, she had a problem on her lutz which is one of her best jumps.

She can go back with her free which after several visonnage is rather good.

I love the design of her site I'm glad she created it because with that we can more easily encourage it.

Better for her to not do tanos anyway.

This is coming from someone who really hated tanos until just recently i read a certain part of an old post.

"A tano jump's value is not just aesthetic, it is also technically more difficult. That’s why it’s rewarded more GOE."

I've always thought tanos were super easy to execute, thus equal to cheating. Right now i feel like i have a newfound respect for tanos.
Speaking of her not doing any tanos, it looks like i was wrong after all.

Wakaba Higuchi did 2A hand on and 3Lz both hands on a.k.a. "Rippon Style" at #PIW Tokyo...

That one was from Facebook.

Wakaba is replying to questions on her Instagram stories. Could somebody speaking Japanese translate what she said?

Proud of Wakaba for a clean SP after some worrisome practice notes :cheer: I think this program will grow on people more; I liked the energy she put into the step sequence once the jumps were over!

This performance was so much better.

I just wish that she would have replaced her 3F in the short program. It has just been called wrong edge for too many times. The difference in BV is not worth the risk.

But good job anyway. I was worried. Hope she will skate clean in the free.

She was looking strong and confident after landing her combo. I know she can put even more energy in her program, her injury is probably preventing her from going all out. I'm very proud of her, it was a wonderful performance.

Once again, Wakaba please ditch the flip, it is not worth it! :gaah:

bravo Wakaba hope she keeps this position, it was not perfect because of this bip 3F but skated like that, it was wow, she was on fire.

I was worried about this injury but again Wakaba proves that despite the dubious choices of her team she was a Warrior.

Damn that his smile is communicative.

Good luck for FS

I know it's old, but did anyone find the translation of this?

I was in the arena, and I felt the audience really got "into" this program. It has a great energy and a really fun vibe. I think it really suits her. I love the way she sells it, and I think she'll do even better with selling it once she gets a little more mileage on it and hopefully her injury subsides.

I do not know what to think with Wakaba, she a month to rest and think about the future.
on a happier note his SP grew in me I love him more and more, I hope someday we will see 2 perfect Wakaba programs and without injury, because even if at first I did not like his programs , I must admit that when they are 100% patinated they are great and match her.
