Imagine there are people who do not like Russia politics and they still can enjoy a Russia girl skating.

Not sure I like Alina (with photo from last year, nonetheless) squeezed between various propaganda. She probably does not need that kind of pressure either, eh.

If you start talking about propaganda, you are the victim of propaganda. Alina has obligations to the state that fully pays for her sports training and so on. They are bad, we are good, propaganda - I hate that word. I have never heard of meetings of sportsmen in Pražský hrad or White house called propaganda.

I got scared a bit too, that was an ugly looking fall. I was secretly wishing she wouldn't go for it at the end, that light was particularly dark and all that, but knowing Alina I just knew that she would.

She looked OK at the line after so all is fine.

Nah, I think she would've gone for it anyway. She didn't in her EX and we all know how she is, when she doesn't do something at the EX she'll do it at the finale.

I saw that, I was looking for her in the crowd then, fortunately found her smiling with her neighbours, so she is fine. :hap93:

But where she was practicing 3Lz-3Lo-3Lo today, I figured she might try something like that at the end.

I was really worried when she fell, and I was searching frantically through the skaters to see if she was still there.

The look of that fall had "disaster" written all over it. At least to my eyes.

I'm glad that she is OK.

Yup I was worried too, that was a scary fall. But she looked fine afterwards so I guess everything is ok. And she nailed the crazy entry-3Lz during her performance, it was just spectacular :luv17:

Two Individual Olympic Gold Medalists in the same competition since 26 years ago.

So, looks like Alina did go back to jump that combo before leaving the ice....and she nailed it too by the screams of the crowd. It happens off camera but you can hear it, see her skating by Yuzuru and disappearing, hear the crowd clap and roar, then see her come back. This is a Yuzuru focus finale fancam but you can see lots of Alina specially after the 4 min mark, including the audio from the jump right at the end.

Her gala program is perfect for Alina..she is a Survivor, she is a Believer and nothing can stop her. She was so courageous to go back and try again this combo
