Nathan Chen

Sounds like the article was written around the time of Champs Camp so no new information.

First IGS with Romain. Looks like he's already has his first practice.

It is like written in Champs camp ~ SA. ( Because Nathan cut his hair but they said Nathan’s hair is long lol) There is no new info but I think his interview is interesting.

And Nathan has first practice! I feel already soooo nervous. Wish him good luck🤞

Yeah.
Honestly, I don't see the point of publishing content that is several months old :rolleye:. It's really a stupid article, I mean, there's so much more current information available. But I guess if someone isn't following Nathan specifically, they might not realise that.

US figureskating fanzone article
[The New Nathan Chen A Product of the Successes – And Failures – of Seasons Past]

This article is quite interesting

The GPF doesn't quite overlap with the reading period!!! Nathan is going to miss several days of classes for GPF.

Yale reading period officially starts Dec. 7th 5:30PM EST
The men's SP will be on Dec. 6th
Men's FS is on Dec. 7th,
OP starts on Dec. 5th

This article just copied whatever in Phil's April article concerning competition schedules without checking Yale calendar and Competition schedule, which is so annoying.

Thanks Hollymolly for the link, and you are right there is SkAm update, but the majority of the info was from Champs Camp.

Only thing new to the public, not to Nathan fans probably is the part about Nathan would stick with Raf until the end of his skating career. We got this info from our so dependable hhh back in May.

Not everyone is quite as up to date about Nathan as we are :p

Doesn’t sound like Raf needs to worry about a long distance breakup with his baby:
"I'm definitely fully committed to Rafael until the end of my career, really, so we'll just have to play around with that and try to make the best scenario.

Being with Romain at his first two competitions while at college is really nice for Nathan!

Hoping for a good competition for Romain too! :hap10:

That's actually quite a committment. He's so loyal. I don't think that many skaters can make a claim like that. Father and son

I think it's not just to Raf, but to the whole team. They're his family.

Nathan looks so comfy and relaxed around Romain. He was around Brezina a lot during EX practice at SkAm. Team Raf family is doing great this year.

Good luck to the whole family who are competing this week, Romain, Marin and our world champion of ever increasing good looks.

ETA: just remember this, good luck to Nathan’s MTL family who are competing this week, Kaitlin and JLB.

Well he’s been with Raf since he was 10 so I’m sure the attachment is very real. There’s been other skaters with coaches since childhood who eventually end up leaving but Raf/his team seem equally committed to him in a way most coaches aren’t to skaters so probably would be hard for him to get the same level of support he’s used to with any other coach.

Good luck to team Raf. Very interested to see Marin in particular.
