I’m using the Golden Skate app on my phone, they have a dedicated app you can download and when you use it you type with the keyboard on your phone.

My phone keyboard has its own emojis (that work for WhatsApp and such) [emoji1392] and you access them by clicking on a keyboard that shows the little emojis’ faces and shapes.

From that keyboard I can pick any emoji that’s on my phone, place it in the message and off I go. I see the emoji as I write, not code like we see when we paste one from the website version of GS.

Downside of the app so far:

- can’t use any of the emojis I use on the desktop version as I don’t see that keyboard and can’t remember the code from heart.

- I can’t thumb up [emoji1303] any posts unless I use mobile Safari, from the actual app you read and post but can’t give any likes

- when you edit a message it shows up on the desktop site with a huge title banner on top of the post in bold (mine says Alina Zagitova - I guess because it’s the fanfest name), but I’ll take shouting Alina’s name from the rooftops. Only happens when you edit and I can’t see an option to turn it off.

Thanks. I checked it out. So far it is only a decision by city mayor. I can't find any project documentation on this proposed new building just yet. I remember Eteri was asking for a new training facility half a year ago. I guess the money have been allocated for her pretty fast and the new facility for them will be build. But it is still at the phase of planning. Architects need to work. Later Sambo-70 and Eteri have to approve the final layouts, floor plans and functionalities. But I judging by the location... the building will be very plain, but hopefully functional, the facades will be pretty standard and boring. Hopefully the interiors will have stylish design. Because current Khrustalny ice rink does not cut it for figure skating. Let the hockey players have it. I guesstimate Eteri will be moving to that new building in 1.5-2 years. Sometime after the Olympics.

The Canadian commentators said at one point, ISU changed all the rules after Olympics, took away Alina's WR she got at Olympics due to the rule changes, and Alina went out at Nebelhorn and promptly got her WR back + two more. Better than I expected from them!



Alina is a true champion.

That mandatory math post, good to be done when we have time off between competitions.

So I was looking at Alina's best scores on all her individual elements (jumps or otherwise) for her programs to see the potential for overall score increase.....and here we have it....drum roll....

Her SP (bonus zone elements are underlined):
Elements in order of execution: 3Lz+3Lo, FCSp4, StSq4, 2A, LSp4, 3F, CCoSP4
The best TES she ever had for this combination of elements (GOE already added to them, bonus only on the 3F) would be 45.02
Her best PCS for her SP would be 37.62
That would leave her with a SP Total Score of 82.64

Her FS (bonus zone elements are underlined):
Elements in order of execution: 2A, 3Lz+3T, 3S, 2A, FCSp4, CHSq1, 3Lz+3Lo, 3F+2T+2Lo, 3F, CCoSp4, StSq4, FCCoSp4
The best TES she ever had for this combination of elements (GOE already added to them, bonus only on the elements in the bonus zone) would be 85.19
Her best PCS for her FS would be 77.47
That would leave her with a FS Total Score of 162.66

Her total score adding both programs would be 245.30

That guys, is totally doable, mostly because, she's done it already.

So, all things being equal, her best ever FS and SP for this season should score at least in the realm of what shows above.

Realistically she should score even more, because we now have higher GOE scale for all elements, she's improving and, in her FS, she is still scoring 2.51 less than she got at her best FS PCS from last season (which was at the Olympics this year).

I'm not counting any Japan Open elements scores, or PCS, for this calculations btw, just Olympics, CS, GPs, Nationals and WC.
