There’s actually a skating rink in Central Park, seasonal only works in winter.

Wollmans rink where you can have a full NY experience by fighting with strangers, feeling overcrowded, being pushed, falling on your behind and being told off by staff for the very NYorker price of $12 on weekdays and $19 on weekends for an adult to do a single ride. And if you just want to watch all said above happening, we got you covered for $5 to be an expectador.

My dream is to bring Alina here where I’ll pay her unlimited rides just to watch her do people slalom on one foot and run away from the staff. Then when we have had our fill I’d take her to the rink at Bryant Park (also Midtown Manhattan) that’s just as crowded but it’s free to use so we can continue our fun.

Don't forget Rockefeller Center!

Although I think you have to be related to the Rockefellers to afford it.

I left it out because that rink is just too small, an ice bathtub for our Queen Alina, no way. [emoji23]

The fees are between $25 and $33, but if I could clear the rink of people and have her skate alone there it would be worth it. Though she wouldn’t even be able to fit her step sequence and choreo in that small space, I’d have her do a bunch of spirals with the [emoji319]as a background just for you.

She have a 12 seconds for band and zipper fight .. it’s enough to make a coffee))) but we already know, this is Alina with her "staff problem as usual "

At least we can have "eye roll" Alina when she doesn't manage it in a timely fashion.

Daniil is smart. we were all talking about all the space built around that 3F in the SP, he knows where the real fight it at. Zippers and collars, and now he added hair band just for the extra fun of it.

That would be awesome. I want to see her just doing sprials and spins. And that beautiful tree!!!!

I think Daniil needs to build some space into the exhibition too. Either that, or get Alina a tear-away jacket and a "clip on" ponytail.

I know, right?

You read my mind on the Velcro, like those rip off pants used at, hum, how can I PG13 say it, I can't say it....hope you get it.

My favorite bit of all that Survivor EX is Alina tying her hair and then tightening that ponytail (every single time) instead of just tying it and moving on to the coat task. I feel like I'm watching a countdown to a rocket launch. Will the rocket launch before the astronauts get in?

Also reminds me of a game I had as a kid called "The Original Game of Perfection" where you pushed the board down, set a 60 seconds timer, and had that much time to fit 25 puzzle pieces into place in its slots before the board would spring up and toss everything out.

Alina is the ultimate game of perfection though.

I think some critics are not happy with this simple hair tie. Olympic champion needs to improve it... maybe with hair stick (level4) 😂😂

Yes - I do get it (not that I've ever been to such a place though )

A rocket launch, or the start of a 4 man bobsled race when they all have to move like a swiss watch to enter the sled.

Oh the stress of trying to "beat the clock" for anything!
Heart pounding, shaking hands, weak in the knees.

And Alina's reward is she then has to do a triple lutz-triple toe, a triple flip, and a triple lutz out of a charlotte position.

The critics speak....
Ponytail is "juniorish"

She needs to french-braid her hair instead.

Critics are like "Joe Security"

Alina (fiercely preparing): can I go over there now?

Joe/Critics: no, you stand behind this white line

Alina (seeing Joe/Critics distracted with another skater): I’m so doing this (sneaks away and does her thing)

I hope someday we will see them smile at her like Joe Security did after he saw her make a break for it and never look back at him. I say hope but in truth it doesn’t matter as long as they remain in their space and don’t breach out and hurt Alina’s feelings.

To me Alina’s got nothing left to prove, she’s the best, the hardest working and the most committed to giving her all.

Nothing will ever change how I feel about that, the only result I care about is her big smile at the end of a skate. She is a joy to watch and a gift to us from the figure skating loving gods.

Alina :( under so much pressure and those cameramen who don't know to back off :dev2:. It doesn't look like she is so much rolling her eyes as blinking back tears :sad21::(

On November 23, the "Khrustalny" skating rink celebrates its 15th anniversary. We will see gala programs of Olympic champion Alina Zagitova, world junior champion Alexandra Trusova, winners of Junior Grand Prix Alena Kostornaya and Anna Shcherbakova

:hap93:

Here is the transcript of Alina's interview after GP Rostelecom, for anyone interested in reading.

How true! I briefly saw in the video, Eteri stepping up to talk to Joe just after Alina made her break away. Like with her critics, Eteri has her back!

Hello everyone.
Is anyone here from Vancouver or nearest cities and planning to attend Final GP?
@teamzagitova is looking for someone who will be in Moscow in November and can take banners to support Alina (those they had at Rostelecom Cup) and bring it to Vancouver.
Please contact @teamzagitova directly.

I did it!!

Made and uploaded my favorite Alina eye roll gif

https://media.giphy.com/media/csWKQ5uOZ9G6o3j5L7/giphy.gif

Hahaha.. I love the eye roll! I tot I saw it very very briefly in one of the documentaries when Eteri was yelling at her. I kept rewinding it to check but cld never be sure.

Was there any info on why she changed her ending pose? At the first time she performed it, she glided up to the camera and covered it with one hand - lol, I tot that was kinda cool, in a “I’m baaaaad” attitude way.

lusk8, I suddenly got Christmas and Home alone 2 vibes from your post! I am sure Alina would love a day at the CP ice rink with you - she would hug you from happiness just at the sight of it! I love Alina's hugs. The one she gave me was one of the most precious moments ever, I wish you the same!

And by the way, I would love to see Alina with a French braid, lesnar001! She wouldn't make it in time for these 12 seconds in the gala though...

Guys. I want to thank you so much for the positivity and support towards Alina in this wonderful thread.

So!
As a thanks to you for this great year on GS with you, I had an idea and asked my friend (the newly hatched figure skating fan) to do something for GS and he agreed and actually got so much inspiration. Consider it as a surprise from us, I am sure you will like it because he has been working hard 3 days already and I can't wait to show it to you! I don't know when exactly, maybe you'll have to be patient for a few days. :dance2:
